Highly recommended
Incredible bang for the buck, they sound great! I play a 100 w JVC receiver through these at full volume with no performance lag as you crank it up. I purchased these cheap speakers to replace a set of blown out ones in cabinets that someone was throwing away. The woofers were good now both speakers kick butt and cost hardly anything.

Great replacement for Klipsch Promedia 2.1
First tried gluing a replacement foam surround on the original Klipsch woofer after it crumbled and it just didn't work out. It's a messy job, tricky to line everything up while glue dries much too fast, etc. Ordering this affordable speaker just a little more than the cost of the kit was SO much easier. It looks very well made and a great value. There's plenty of bass response and I don't even feel the need to turn the bass dial up more than halfway.Just a few notes:- Screw mounts line up perfectly and you can use the original screws- One of the connectors is a difference size then Klipsch, you can crimp on a new connector to the original wiring- To save some time and effort I just attached the original narrow crimped connector sideways so it grips the edge of the speaker's connector. Added some tight electrical tape around it and it seems to be holding fine- If you notice any buzzing after installation, check for air gaps in the case. Use silicone, etc to seal them air tight.- The original grill wont stay put, I've left mine open but you can probably use some shims + glue to make it work.

Surprising performance
I did not expect too much from a $35 speaker. But it performs surprisingly well. I built a 14 litres vented box and it has really a very good and deep bass. Just one thing, at first I had a crossover frequency of 2 kHz and somehow frequencies in that range are heavily distorted. It sounds like the conus suffers from a lot of break-up. After decreasing the cross-over to about 1500 the sound was excellent. I have ordered a real subwoofer amplifier with active filtering so I expect the cross over to be even lower. The first setup was with passive filtering. If you intend to build a 2-way system, be aware that you should cross over well below 2 kHz, and your tweeter should be able to handle that.

Great ProMedia 2.1 subwoof fix
Great sound for a $30 repair. There are two caveats mentioned by others. Attaching the black wire is a bit suss. I ended up going full mummy wrap with electrical tape since unraveling the connector was too tedius. The other in is the speaker grill. Can't be used anymore due to the design of the sub.

Great speaker replacement for Klipsch 2.1 Pro! Just needs a short break in to come to life!!
Forget the rubber surround replacement, just grab this drop in woofer, so much easier for the same price. IT WILL NEED A BREAK IN PERIOD, the first few hours over a day or so will sound like crap, after that it'll sound as good as the original Klipsch sub. The amp is 6 ohms and this speaker is 8 ohms, so you should be fine, 6ohms to a 4ohm speaker is bad! The grill will not fit, just use some silicone if you want it mounted. Just remember, LOW volume bass for a few hours, for two days and after that, it should start putting out deep bass. I almost did a return, because it had zero bass, but after a few days of use, it is now working how a subwoofer should. Easy fix for the ground connection is to use a pair of needle nose plyers to carefully bend the arms of the connector slightly, until it will slide onto the speaker fitting.

Not equivalent Klipsch Sub replacement
I purchased these to replace my klipsch 4.1 speakers. I choose these because of the many reviews on them of others doing exactally the same thing. I have to say I was extremely disappointed. They are no where close to an equivalent of what they are replacing. In fact if I have the volume just under half way I have to turn the sub volume to below the white line or they bottom out. Two weeks in one of them blew out. I will be looking for something better. And would suggest anyone else trying to breath life back in to their Klipsch 4.1's to do the same.

Decent quality. Do not work in a small enlosure.
I have a killer stereo in my car 14 speakers, 4 amplifiers yada yada. I was hoping to get some mid-bass up front. I decided to experiment with a pair of these in small enclosures in the front footwells facing up. The simply could not give me any volume without distortion. I had way more power available than they can handle and it was applied judiciously. They simply did not contribute sufficient volume for my application.

Sound great, fit great in dbx subwoofer enclosure.
These subwoofers worked perfectly as replacements in my old dbx subwoofer enclosure! I'm so happy that I didn't have to junk the entire rig just because my 20+ year old subs wore out! I installed these two subs in my sealed subwoofer cabinet that sits on the floor. The box measures 18" x 12" x 8" and is packed with insulation. The subs fit perfectly in the holes and the terminals matched exactly. The bass from the subwoofer is great! Sounds like it did when I bought it.The price was very reasonable, too! I couldn't be happier with these subs.
