Phenomenal D-pad
Purchased a little over 2 months ago, I used this controller for over 300 hours to give a proper review. I own 27 different Nintendo Switch controllers and this controller has the best wireless D-pad. I have included a photo with the controller in my hand to give you the sense of how big the controller is. This controller is officially licensed by Nintendo so it doesn't have rumble nor amiibo scanning ability. 8bitdo controllers have rumble but are not licensed by Nintendo and they have FAR inferior D-pads. This controller could act as a substitute for the NSO online controllers that Nintendo sells specifically for the nes and snes games provided on their online service. The D-pad is that good. I played over 100 hours of Tetris 99 without a misfire on the directional pad which is pretty remarkable. The analogue sticks and motion controls work very well on games like Splatoon 2. Also, this controller is very portable and convenient. The battery life is good, It lasts 3 days with very heavy gaming before it needs a quick recharge. It works plugged in as well. The Official Nintendo Switch Pro Controller has a garbage D-pad. Unless you are looking for a larger form or you need HD Rumble and NFC support I would recommend this over the Pro controller hands down. Very nice job by PDP. For 50 dollars this is an excellent controller and the best wireless D-pad you can buy for the switch for any amount of money.

Awesome Controller
I liked the design and look of this controller at first, but it’s a lot better than just looks too. A better deal than the other Pro type of controllers and its small enough to fit in a pocket or case if you dont have too much in it. I've been using it a lot for the last 2 years and it still works great, charges really quick and lasts several days. I would definitely buy another one.

Highly Recommend for most games; Comparable to 8bitdo SN30
I don't have much of a pros/cons list because overall this is a great controller, although may not be a go-to for certain games. Wanted to highlight a couple things, hopefully these small details+pics help if considering:- Size: The 'Small' and 'pocket-size' comments I've seen are a tad misleading. Yes, compared to Pro controller or similar, this is a small controller. It is a tad bigger than the 8bitdo however (see pic), and doesn't have the extended handles for the palms that perhaps others are more used to. If you are looking for a Super Nintendo-like controller, you are in the right spot.- Height of sticks: This was where the 'most games' note comes in: the tops of the sticks sit higher than SN30 and 'much' higher than Joycons (see pic). This is awesome as the extended radius helps you cover more angles in games. The only 'downside' if you will is for fighting games: I do not use this for Smash (as the directional+A is too far a reach and not as quick to execute) or Street Fighter, the main fighting games I put a lot of hours into. This is just a matter of taste, but perhaps is not a dealbreaker for others looking for a controller specifically for fighting games, just something to consider. Along with that, given how rough I can play at times, the height of the sticks may put them in a more delicate situation than necessary, and I don't wanna chance it. The SN30 remains my SF controller and I get by with JC for Smash. Also the tops of the sticks are indented and slightly larger than JC, again for certain games this may stick out. Must say though, can't win 'em all given the array of games so not a complaint- D-pad: Phenomenal, find myself using it at times on titles I normally use the sticks for. Been playing Mario U Deluxe and other platformers, terrific with Dpad. Obviously the sticks aren't parallel as with the SN30, but I somehow prefer this, feels natural and comfortable. The SN30 *might* have a slight edge with Dpad feel, but not by much if so and could see me calling it even or better after more usage.Durability, charging, connectivity all seem solid and no complaints thereI'm really happy I got this controller and recommend to anyone looking for an SNES-style one.

Great controller...Only deducting a star because of the high price
Awesome controller. Great D-pad and sticks. Love the size as it gives you that retro feel. Also, one of the few controllers aside from the OEM pro controller that turns on and off the Switch. Knocking off one start for the price. Feel it should be around $40. Otherwise, great product.

Seems to be more stable than the Joycons.
Shape/ergonomics are terrific, reminds me of the old super nintendo controllers but upgraded. The force required to move the thumb sticks is more than the Joycons, which I personally enjoy.Button presses are firm and linear, but not stiff with a break point. The spacing and contours of the L/R stacked over the Lz/Rz buttons is very good, but with my hand size I inadvertently will activate L & Lz or R & Rz occasionally.Finish is smooth and feels good to hold. For some reason two sets of my Joycons right controller will frequently disconnect, while the left controller stays connected. So another major advantage this has over the Joycons, is that it is only one connection vs two for the Joycons.I have of yet for any of my two PDP controllers to randomly disconnect, unless the battery has died.It does have a gyroscope for x/y/z plane tracking, but does NOT have rumbling (if that is important to you).

Very good controller
Bought this on prime day, I’ve always been wanting a controller and this one hit the spot! I loved the SNES back in the day and this brings back a ton of memories! Recommend and worth the money!!!!

Ok, much better alternatives
Was drawn to this item because it reminds me of the snes controller. Aside from looks, the only other function this has is a gyroscope. No vibration or additional features. Analogs feel great and is a great alternative to joycons. There are too many great alternatives than this item

MODERN SNES
I got this because SNES was one of my favorite systems growing up and playing with the joycons, switch GameCube, or even the pro controller just didn't feel right for the NES and SNES Nintendo online classics. This controller connected immediately and feels so smooth. Also, it is thin so it fits in my travel case very well; all my other controllers were thicker and made a huge lump, but this is all-around a great controller!

No vibration but surprisingly great
For a retro design controller, this was surprisingly comfortable. PDP really nailed the ergonomics on this one. The lack of vibration is a loss for this controller but the design and comfort made me love it. Compared to the 8bitdo SNPro, they both feel premium (buttons and sticks) but one is more comfortable while one is less comfortable with vibration.

Exactly what I wanted
Great product, nice and small and fits in my hands well. Wasn't to difficult to pair to my switch. It doesn't have rumble features which I like too. The only thing that throws me off is placement of the home buttons and the + - buttons I feel like they should be switched
