WELL MADE, PERFECTLY WARM!! NOT TOO HOT, NOT TOO THICK, AND NOT TOO THIN !!
Mmmmmm I recently received these socks December 4, 2019 and started wearing them immediately! So far I love these socks and here’s why:I work outside in all seasons doing construction, fencing, and welding; sometimes a lot of walking, sometimes a lot of standing. I use two different styles of boots depending on wet weather or dry. During the warm wet weather, no problem, I wear compression socks in my Knee-High Boggs boots; they don’t fall down and my feet only get wet from sweating blahhh !!Next, during summer and warm dry weather, with my leather cowboy-boot-like hunting boots or my whites welding boots, I wear Knee-High compression liners and wool socks over the liner (even in sweltering heat). Sure the wool wicks away the sweat but the tightness of my shoe laces keeps the socks up to an extent, so not too much of a sagging problem there.Point is, I wanted to wear just one pair of wool socks that weren’t too thin or too thick that my feet get hot and of course that would stay up even with a lot of walking ++ and these socks do just that !! They don’t fall down and are not too hot!! And my feet didn’t get cold standing in once place either!!What's my physique? I’m 5’10 about 235 lbs and I have short legs LOL and I have fairly good sized calves (because I’m an active athlete) but not overly sized huge calves, so they fit just right, all the way up to the bottom of the knee but OMG not over the knee haha.I tested these socks out by walking many miles in both pairs of my boots wearing ONLY these socks . . . never once did they slide down nor did my feet get cold !!The biggest problem I have is when I wear my Muck or Boggs boots, even with my wool over-the-calf-knee-high socks, is that they always slide down. Then I am stuck with wearing very thin compression socks just so my socks will stay up and then my feet kind of get cold. Maybe sagging socks isn’t so much a problem for other people, but it is for me.Now I can slip on just one pair of socks, get dressed faster, then go to work or hunting and they will stay up the whole day and keep my feet perfectly warm :)In the end, these socks seem to be made to last, and again, not too thick or thin, or hot or tight either; they’re even marked L and R so you don’t get them mixed up haha !!Love em !! Highly recommend !!

$$$ Expensive but worth every penny!
These socks are amazing in comfort, fit, warmth, and style! They stay up to your knees as they luxuriously hug your feet and calves. I have not tried them with ski boots yet, but tested them this past week during the frigid bomb cyclone in New York in fairly deep snow. I paired them with my Sorel Caribou Wool boots, and was toasty warm in sub-zero temperatures while shoveling snow for hours. They have a letter “L” and a “R” woven into the magnificent wool indicating left and right (I assume) just below the toe seam. This is a first for me wearing socks for over 50 years 😜 I am impressed with the material and workmanship and their ability to stay in place without restriction! I highly recommend them if you don’t mind spending the money to keep your feet perfectly warm!

Good product
Fits well and thickness as described.

Very warm
I am not using these socks for skiing, as my calves are too large so they tend to bunch up where the top of the ski boots are making them uncomfortable. These are better for ski socks for someone with slender legs

Excellent socks. Specif L and R socks.
The or PureAthlete is $22.Today is Deal of the Day $13!! Merino wool content is 22%. It has a specific left and right sock, I like that. Feels well made and left perfectly sized for my feet. Also the height is just right. The material is stratigically raised a bit in the shin and ankle.I have 8.5-9 shoes and the medium is perfect.I was sceptical because the packaging is just a plastic bag,but I that is not important after you open it and put it on.I compered it to 2 other merino wool ski socks. While those other 2 had nice packaging the feel of them was totally different. The Wigwam Snow Sirocco came in second. It was the shortest on my calf..,but had a good feel. It has a 42% merino wool content. It is $16.3 rd place Minus33 merino wool ski socks.Although it claims the highest merino content of 78% feels like it has the most plastic. Very slippery on wood floor.Highest calf... Too long for me. This I don't recommend. It is $14.

Love these socks!
Love these! The PureAthlete Wool Skiing Snowboard Socks are great ski socks! They are soft - not itchy or scratchy and they keep your feet warm while skiing. These socks are not as thin as the PureAthlete Warm Skiing Socks, they are just a little thicker, but not bulky. These are also a little warmer than PureAthlete Warm Skiing Socks. The PureAthlete Wool Skiing Snowboard Socks are also great for just wearing around when it is cold.I am 5'8" inches and weigh 150 pounds and wear a women's size 9 shoe - the Medium fit perfectly. I like that they reach all the way to my knee and don't fall down.

truly high performance
While I am far from the mountains, I do love ski socks. They are long enough to cover my calves...and not slip down around my ankles. Unlike more traditional winter wool socks with "fluffy" interiors, these socks are thin, yet warm and comfortable. I wore them for 30-40 hours before washing them and was never disappointed with them, nor did they smell...more over, they did not share the smell of my feet with the world. Without a doubt...my new cold weather sock. I might even go skiing!

Comfy but...
The socks are very comfy and fit well. I tried them in boots rated for -40F in a 32F weather. After 45 min of inactivity, feet got cold. They are too thin to keep feet warm at low temperatures. They definitely will not keep your feet warm all day unless you move every 30 min. That makes them expensive at that price since they don't keep your feet warm which is the main reason you are spending $22 on a pair of socks.
