Great value for money - wonderfully clear sound.
Absolutely fantastic value for money. Clarity and presence - if anything, just a little top-y which can be easily sorted with a hint of EQ. My only gripe is the lack of any kind of case with them. The stereo presence when mounted correctly is just delightful. Really nice. Enjoying these microphones a great deal!

Affordable & High Quality
The RODE M5 Matched Pair microphones are incredible for their price. As a beginner in audio technology, I was hesitant about the cost of other options, but I have no regrets about these. Paired with the Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen, they deliver stunning clarity and precision.I use them to record my Yamaha U1 upright piano, and the sound quality is exceptional. They capture every nuance, from deep bass to treble, bringing my recordings to life. Highly recommended for anyone looking for affordable, high-quality microphones!Note: purchase comes only with the paired microphones, foam cover, and swivel mounts. Be sure to buy your own XLR cables and microphone stands!

Audio Quality is great for a great price!
For these microphones, I really enjoyed using them to record my recital. They were very solid and made the recording process very easy. For setting up and tearing down, these mics were great to fit in my backpack and even be transported to and from venues. For instruments, it picks up a wonderful sound, especially with the SSL that I have.

New Favorite Microphone Set
I got these as part of my mobile recording set up for a lot of choir stuff that I do for work. Not only do they have fabulous sound quality, but they’re also super tough and feel solid and robust. Solid microphones, certainly worth the investment because you’ll have these for the next 10 years if you treat them right.

Bien Pero....

Exactly what we needed
Since the outbreak of the pandemic our congregation has been worshiping via Zoom. Once we returned to our building, we chose to continue to include those who remained homebound to join us via that technology. However, our choir...which sounded fine to those gathered in the sanctuary...could not be heard at all.We purchased the Rode M5 Matched Pair mics in an attempt to solve that problem. When asked how it all sounded to those worshiping at home the universal reply was "Amazing!"We are most pleased. The mics look good, can easily be configured in different ways depending on choir size and location, and obviously transmit crisp and clear sound...even when using our rather old sound board and unique Zooming connection. These mics are exactly what we needed.

Works well on grand piano
I purchased these in my efforts to mic the grand piano in my rehearsal room. Based on some A/B comparisons with more expensive options -- these little M5's seemed like a relatively inexpensive entry into this for me. After seeing a Røde video showing them off on a grand piano -- I purchased the matched pair along with the Røde bar for an ORTF setup on a single boom inside my piano. They did not disappoint. Presently running these into my Yamaha MG10XU board to record into my DAW. As some point, I will try these (perhaps on a high boom) to just record group in the room.
