The first copy ordered was a gift - this one is for me. Monet's work is so soothing to browse, almost like being able to visit the museum. Susie Hodge's art collection and accompanying history are exceptional. The cost factor was a plus enabling in the purchase of this special book. Highly recommended if you're interested in the arts.

These books have very good photographs of the paintings and sharing the artists lives. The text is excellent as well. I keep them at the kitchen table and am reading them a little each day. Well worth the money. As a painter, they provide a great reference for ideas and colors. What amazing talent they both had.

I like this book over others I looked at, at the Monet exhibit in Denver. At the beginning of the book are short 2 page history stories about his life, family, paintings, where he lived and painting friends.

book has fabulous photos of artist works, very valuable information,,,,just what we needed for art classes.

I just received this book today and quickly went through whole book. I am very satisfied with this book. There are so many beautiful pictures in good quality. Worth to buy! Also the price is very reasonable. Plus, shipping package is perfect. I am glad of having made the right choice.

It's always difficult to find a book with close to all of an artist's works, but this book has done it! this book not only has numerous images by the artist, but also very in depth details/passages on his personal life and his surroundings at the time. If you want a book that will stun you with its amount of pictures as well as its information, this book is the one. Fair warning though: The book is quite large. I'm not sure if that was a part of the description, but i was surprised when it arrived. It's roughly the size of an average school hardcover text book (hopefully that helps). so other than the surprise in size, this book is simply great for any monet fans out there.

Before purchasing this I looked at a number of books on Monet but each time I was drawn back to this. It is fairly definitive, containing a very wide selection of Monet's paintings and giving a very accessible and detailed account of Monet's life. The balance throughout is perfect and the book is aesthetically appealing in itself. I would recommend this without reservation to anyone who wants an enjoyable overview of Monet's life and work. Better than all the competition that I managed to find!
