It works great and has a feature a lot of other vacuums sealers don’t have which is the ability to manually seal the bag while under vacuum. This vacuum sealer is a replacement for another machine that would vacuum but would never complete the seal, I guess because the sensor for indicating the correct amount of vacuum stoped working.

Just love this food sealer. I have had 1 other brand name before that did not last, and not a very long warranty I am so glad I looked at reviews and seen the potane brand. It doesn't take up alot of space, easy to use. Mine is used several times a day. From getting Bacon out and reseal, to cereal, potato chips. Money saver.

I bought this primarily so I could use it to reduce freezer burn on meats that I buy in large packages and then split up and freeze. I've used it mostly for ground beef and chicken breasts, but also used it for some bacon recently. I've made my way through the entire small roll of included bags and partly through the large roll, and the unit is working well. The key (IMHO) is to not try to cut it too close on the bag sizes, because you need to make sure the open end of the bag is well into the vacuum chamber before you snap the lid closed to ensure good results ... this leaves an inch or so of extra bag above the seal, which may feel like a waste, but you have to get over that feeling and just factor it into the cost of using the machine. I just ordered some pre-cut bags, so we'll see how well they work. The photo shows 1/2 lb of ground beef using a bag made from the small roll that is included.

The release buttons will snap after some usage. The release buttons are the two clicking buttons to lock down the cover during vacumn. Looking now to purchase new release buttons. I have contacted the maker.

My family really likes this Potane Vacuum Sealer. It looks nice in our stainless steel kitchen, and is well made. It's compact, with on board cord storage. Appreciate the auto and manual vacuum and sealing options. The Video tutorial was very helpful for us newbies. Two sizes of bag rolls are included. Couldn't find the bag slicer, it's lightweight, and Customer Support quickly replied to my email letting me know it was in an included envelope and sure enough, it was at the bottom. The bag slicer, which looks like a small letter opener, works great. Much better than scissors. We've already started saving money by sealing and freezing bulk purchased meats and cheeses. Going to try Sous Vide next.

Seals and vacuums quickly. After reading sealing/vacuuming issues with other brands I chose this one. Good purchase.

So far I am loving my new potane vacuum seal. Seals quickly and noise level is very low. Instructions are easy to understand and are informative.
