Ashleys workshopQuartz Clock Movement(Short Spindle) and hands set (Black, 24mm)

It was as I expected it and it did the job. Also it arrived before forecast . This review request asks for a star award under the heading of "sheerness" but I have no idea what that means in the context of a clock mechanism ... so I have left it blank.

It was just what I needed. I have a much treasured carriage clock and I broke the short spindle annoyingly, when changing the time to Summer time. I now have my clock up and running again.

At last I found a movement with hands small enough for my miniature carriage clock. It did need a bit of alteration to the clock face to get it to fit, and a bit to the movement (cutting off the hanging loop) but it does the job.

Arrived within two days of ordering - instructions were straightforward and the movement fitted perfectly into the original clock face. Had to trim the second to suitable length. It looks well and runs very quietly. It is important to measure all the original dimensions accurately before ordering.

This arrived promptly and was well packed. It fitted nicely into a small carriage clock and is slient in operation. The hands are a bit 'chunky', which has altered the look of the clock slightly but has made it easier to read from a distance

Works well. Used in mantle clock. Nice to see clock working again.

The mechanism as such, I am sure would have been perfect, but on ordering this I hadn't realised there were different spindle length options. On receipt of my order, this short spindle option was no good for my clock; I therefore had to order another one - this time, the long spindle version - which has done the trick. My clock now works perfectly again.
