OKAY!! I'm a Fan now
The Altura Photo 49MM Lens Filter Kit I bought for my 50mm lens has really impressed me with its performance and results far! Each filter, in the set brings something to the table and has truly elevated my photography in various ways, I put all of them to the test and had a few things to say. The UV filter is really handy for protection – I always make sure it's on my lens to guard against dust and scratches as well as accidental fingerprints which we know happens from time to time! The best part is that it doesn't impact the image quality all; in fact, it helps keep my photos super sharp even in sunny conditions. The polarizer filter is a must have for photography enthusiasts like me! It works wonders by minimizing reflections, from water and glass while boosting the richness and depth of colors in my landscape photos. Using an ND filter enables me to capture images in daylight by slowing down the shutter speed without causing overexposure issues. Making it perfect for achieving motion blurs such as silky water flows or dynamic cloud movements; it's also handy for maintaining balanced exposure when aiming for a wide aperture, in shots requiring depth of field focus. The filters are crafted from top notch glass material. I haven't experienced any unexpected changes in color or distortions with them. Moreover, the case provided helps in keeping everything maintained and safeguards the filters when they are not being used. This set of filters is ideal, for photographers seeking to enhance their photographs with a range of filters. I strongly suggest it for its quality and effectiveness!

Every new DSLR photographer needs these
Really nice set of everyday filters in a padded foldup bag. If you aren't sure where to start with filters start with this filter assortment. The UV filter is great for image clarity on days that aren't perfect, and even those that are can be improved as it seems to help with color shift leading to a prettier picture. Might be cutting through crap in the air (like smog) in addition to the UV but whatever it does I like the result overall. The Neutral Density filter I got to assist with night scenes where some street lights are brighter than others leading to hot spots. My first tests already show an improvement and I suspect when I tweak my exposure and experiment I'll be closer to what I am looking for. Lastly, the Circular Polarizing filter is a good general purpose filter that held glare. I haven't tried coupling it with the ND filter yet, but on its own it help cut some of the sunshine reflecting off the water so you can see the texture of the water instead of the glare. Probably the biggest challenge overall with the CPL use (not this brand, just in general) is trying to rotate the filter to the perfect angle to get what you want. Doing it through the viewfinder on a DSLR is nearly impossible and on an LCD possible but difficult to see the differences. But as far as the brand itself in this set, it works great. Just a pain to use effectively until you develop a better eye. Practice makes perfect they say.

Good Set of Filters
I bought this set of filters to fit a 77mm Fujinon lens. I needed a UV filter, and I wanted a CPL filter. I bought a separate variable ND filter so I really didn’t need the ND4 filter but it’s a good addition to this set. So far I have been pleased with the set and am happy to recommend it. The UV filter is useful as a basic protective cover for a lens, but it also does filter out UV light. This is a lot less of a problem when it comes to digital camera, as UV light was harmful to 35mm film. UV light can make images hazy and this filter can reduce that. In very specific situations, there can be reflections between the lens glass and the filter, so there are occasions when using the UV filter is not advisable. I had the opportunity to use the CPL filter on a sunny day at a lake and I used the filter to cut through the reflections on the water. It worked well and I was able to get a picture of things on the bottom. That’s all I could really ask. I have not used the ND4 filter. This set comes in a nice carrying case that protects the filters when they’re not in use. The case is small enough that it fits inside my camera bag without any issue. This is a decent filter set and I am pleased with it. The filters I have used have worked well for me.

You get what you pay for
Updated: The seller did reach out to me and refund me for my original purchase. Therefore I raised my review rating from 1to 3 stars. As a long time photographer I am always changing and upgrading lenses. Buying filters for each size can become expensive. So when saw these and the reviews I felt it could be worth checking out. Oh boy was I wrong. Photos included are image with filter and without filter. Clearly you see the haze. It can turn any professional photographer into a novice. The first thing I noticed was the threading. It seemed to be off, or just not right. Make it take a few tries to just screw the filter on. Once on I saw results I wouldn’t wish on any photographer. I spent a day shooting a theme park I regular. I was noticing a haze when using the polaroid filter. Sure enough when I got back to the editing room, haze on all photos. Removed the filter and took some shots, no haze . Now I have a $2000 camera, and if you are a photographer we all know how much we love and take care of our equipment. This cheap filter set is not for you. The issue is they are plastic. So it seems they just aren’t made well. The lens filter had a built in haze. No cleaning if filter changed it. I then noticed it was the same for the clear filter as well, just not a clear filter when using plastic. I would not recommend this to anyone who likes clear images and is expecting this to work as described. A filter is to enhance your image from cleaning the proper light out before it hits your lens and the camera mirror, this just gave me one full day of fuzzy photos.

Filters are great. Fit perfectly and the quality is high. I was worried that they might be made of cheap plastic, but they're made of what feels like real metal and glass.
