Excellent pedals that look gorgeous!!
So as we all know, stock pedals are just there so you can ride your bike home. 😉 I was considering purchasing red Deity pedals since I have orange ones on my Mukluk, but I had some concerns which I will address below.TL;DR: Light weight & solid; Gorgeous-looking color and design; Pins give fantastic grip w/MTB shoes and don't scrape up the legs;To start, I wasn't necessarily looking for aluminum pedals, but I wanted something that looked good with my red accents. I happened upon these because I REALLY wanted something that wasn't "boxy-looking" -- concern 1. Concern 2, I wanted good pins to grip my shoes, but I didn't want to gouge my calves every time the pedals brush up against them. The pins on these are absolutely perfect! They are slightly rounded on the edges, and my feet are firmly in place and never slide around, even when I get wet or muddy. As a note, I have 5 Ten Freerider MTB shoes. As for the looks, they are absolutely gorgeous!! The red pedals with the chrome pins looks so sharp - not that people see that when you're riding, but hey, it's the little things right? Also, the fact that they are a bit tapered at the ends is exactly what I was looking for (concern 3). And the aluminum aspect of it I think is awesome. They're lighter than my expensive-ish nylon pedals on my Mukluk. Now there is one thing I do want to mention, and I do not know if this is a good or bad thing: I am not a gearhead or anything, but with these pedals I do notice that they don't spin very freely. By that, I mean for example, when you try to make 'em spin by slapping one side or by using your garden hose when you're washing it, they don't spin much. I do know enough about bearings to know if they are loose or too tight, and they feel just fine. I definitely don't notice it at all when I'm riding, however I did want to mention that.I truly love these pedals a ton, and I plan on getting another pair for my next full-suspension MTB!! 😎

Great pedals for the price
I’m very happy with these. I’m not a mountain biker but these are great on my 1991 Miyata Triple Cross for around town. The wide platform is a big improvement. I was having some heel strike with my panniers but with these I can shift my feet slightly forward so that doesn’t happen and still have good contact with the ball of my feet. They look rad too.

Great pedals for the price, look good and work well.
Light, grippy, and well-built these pedals really are impressive for a reasonable price. The machined blue color looks great, after taking them on several longer rides I appreciate that they are thinner profile than the stock pedals and other than the bearings not being the smoothest, these are a great buy.

Absurdly good for the price
Pretty surprised at the quality of these. I purchased a $3500 gravel bike and had minimal money left to spare for pedals, so I purchased these as a temporary solution. So far they have massively exceeded expectations, which were not very high given the cheap price. I imagine that I will ultimately upgrade my pedals, but I have kind of been asking myself why since these are a pretty darn good. Not sure on long term durability yet, but I have been using these on daily mixed gravel/road rides for a few weeks now and so far no problems. Lightweight, grippy, easy to install, good fit and finish, look good - can’t go wrong for the price.

They’re perfect and very underrated love them for mountain biking
The media could not be loaded. These petals are awesome for mountain biking. They have so much grip. The color is so cool on them. These are definitely underrated products but they’re definitely worth it. If you have the money, they fit perfect on my bike and they’re very easy to install.

You get what you pay for.
If you need an inexpensive set of pedals (for somewhat casual riding or for rides with frequent dismounts) that are reliable, sturdy, and smooth...these will do it.If you want a set of pedals that are still comfortable 5-10 miles down the road, these ain't it...unless maybe you find the right shoes. The central portion of the pedal around the axel is thicker than the rest. After a few miles you can really start to feel that pressing into the bottom of your foot. I realize they are designed the way they are to save weight, but there has got to be a better middle ground between weight savings and comfortable ergonomics. Is this a bad purchase? For most people, it absolutely isn't.Is it a good purchase if you plan to be on the bike for miles without breaks? Probably not. I will be buying something different and keeping these as a backup/emergency solution.
