Very difficult at first to float but once you've got the knack it's a nice way to display your ornaments.

There is no sweet spot for the floating disc. It just snaps down onto the surface. I've had it tested and it will NEVER function as a levitation device.Do yourselves a favour and look elsewhere for a similar product.

For people who are having trouble balancing the magnet just practice, i recommend using a piece of foam packaging from the box (or similar ) on top of the base and hold the magnet over-the foam until you see all four corners light lit,then you can remove the foam without the magnet suddenly sticking to the base then you can add your item on the balanced magnet.Also the magnet has a sticker saying"top" on the large side and this MUST face upwards to balance despite one of the pics apparently showing the other way. Finally all the chrome models are made in the same place so buy the cheapest, I did and its still working after 2 years.
