Perfect “name brand” performance at non branded cost.
The build quality is likened to the CAT service kit tooling which as a kit is over $500. The variable sized guides for each common pin size is very precise and machined well. Only downside is that the insert IS NOT SPRING LOADED. So when you level the pins “flush” with the inner beveled edge of the pinway, when pushing in the wire end to hold firm while making that very “no turning back” crimp, the pinway is not spring loaded so you don’t get that nice spring back force against the wire that makes a good fit more reliable as you crimp with pins. The handle is Ratcheting which is so nice to get those pins held in place before sending it Home. Otherwise, a very sound and reliable buy!

Very versatile, definitely worth the cost!
This is an amazing crimper tool, I was about to pay around $1400 for an Amphenol crimper for their Heavymate series pins and that tool would have only worked for Amphenol pins. With this IWISS crimper tool you can set gauge as well as pin length to whatever you need, it will work for pretty much all types of closed-barrel cimp pins! I have also used it with some d-sub pins, some switchcraft pins, and even with some ferrules... this tool has worked perfectly on ALL of them to my surprise. A great buy... definitely worth it if you have a need to crimp lot of different types of closed-barrel pins. (The only small negative is that the plastic handle cover keeps coming off, but I put little bit of jb-weld inside and put it back in.)

Makes picture perfect crimps. The adjustment is really nice.
For less than half the price of the actual brand name TE Deutsch crimp tool you can get this exact knock off version. It makes great 8 indent crimps on the Deutsch pins which are indistinguishable from the actual crimp tool. This is much much better than the ~$25 to $50 hand crimp tools, which I had wire pull out issues with. This makes solid crimps that cannot be pulled out of the pin. You also set the depth so there is no need to worry about where the pin will get crimped at once you get the first one setup. This helps save on wasted pins from bad crimps. If you are working with Deutsch connectors regularly get this instead of the brand name tool, it's every bit as good.

Good but not great
The crimp is solid but it doesn't have enough depth adjustment for short pins. It works great for the money spent.

Does the job, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg
I was looking for a solid-contact crimping tool to use on 19-pin Socapex-style multi-cables. Some of the tools available are ridiculously expensive. This one costs a fraction of some other brands and does the job perfectly! I'm very happy with my investment.

Excellent Crimper
I needed a DTHD crimper mostly, and it works great. It also crimps dt and dtm. For the price it’s worth it. No issues. If you never crimped pins before, read the instructions and practice, you will be on your way to making professional connections in no time.
