Brother sewing machine is a gem.
It’s an excellent machine. If you are new to seeing of experienced, this is a really GOOD machine. The price is good, too! Many options for stitch length, motif design, and attachments. Little noise, almost silent, thoroughly electronic. The instructions are rendered for 4 different languages.

I LOVE this sewing machine!
I bought my first sewing machine in 1977 with the proceeds from the sale of our home. It cost $800! It was a top of the line, Swiss made machine and I loved it! Just a few years ago I gave that machine to my sister, an avid quilter, whose identical machine had “died” earlier (from overuse, I think😉). I bought another brand, the least expensive I could find. I wasn’t sewing much anymore but wanted to have a machine for little projects that might come along. Fast forward to a few months ago when I decided to join the PieceMakers, a quilting group at our church. My “cheap” machine was just OK so I began looking for another one. I came across the Brother CS7000X and it was being offered at a special price, hundreds less than I had paid for my first sewing machine many decades before. Even though I am computer literate, I was not sure I wanted a computerized sewing machine. I am glad I decided to ignore my doubts. I love this sewing machine! The computerization does NOT make this machine difficult to learn how to use. To the contrary, the computer assistance makes many of the things one does while sewing easier. For instance, I can set my machine to stop with the needle in either the “up” or “down” position when stopping a line of stitching. I don’t have to move the wheel to the position I want; it happens automatically. I can set the speed I want to sew, depending on what I am doing. I can set the machine to automatically reverse or reinforce stitches at the beginning and end of stitching. There are many more “computer assist” features and some without computer assist, like a needle threading device. Wonderful for these 80 year old eyes that don’t see as well as they used to!The most fun, however, is using the decorative stitches, and there are 70 of them on this machine! With the touch of a couple of buttons (and there is a guide for this) I can choose from among the many attractive, decorative stitches and the machine does the rest. I just guide the fabric through. I have made my own “guide” with a sample of the stitches and their numbers next to them so I know exactly how the stitch looks with my fabric and my thread.Beginning sewer or experienced, I would highly recommend the Brother CS7000X sewing machine!

Great Sewing Machine
I am learning to sew on this machine and I can say it is very easy for beginners to learn! I am starting with making quilts so the stitch variety is great, it is a learning curve but so worth it!

IT DOES EVERYTHING
As a seamstress for many years, I've owned several machines. Aside from my Bernina, this one tops the list. It's easy for young sewers to understand and has smooth features for us old folks. The needle threader is a breeze. It runs smoothly and offers so many different options. Quilting functions and tools are handy. I love this machine and never run out of excuses to use it.

So close to 5 stars
I really like this machine. It's been a long time since I've had a new one. I am experienced at sewing but like to keep it simple because I am a casual sewer. This is smooth and solid. The tension is consistent. I keep the instructions close by. There is a lot to know about operating this machine. The top threading is similar to other machines I have had. There are a few features that make threading effortless. The set up of the bobbin is different from other machines I've used, but it also is very well laid out and makes the bobbin placement and threading a breeze. My only disappointment with this machine at this point is the fact that the needle throat plate is plastic instead of metal. I used to have magnetic guides and hem rollers that were all magnetic. I cannot longer use any of them. Still a great value.

Amazing machine, best purchase, super beginner friendly
This is my first sewing machine. There are so many stitching options but I’ve just stuck to the first stitch since I’m a beginner. It took me about 15 minutes to understand the set up but the instructions were super clear and there is a lot online. I’ve only used the lowest speed and played around with the others but the lowest one is perfect for a starter and it can get pretty quick for anyone who prefers that. It’s really quiet although I don’t have much to compare it to. Best sewing machine, super simple, easy to learn and it is very smooth. It is plastic but I think it will be sturdy if well maintained. Definitely worth the investment.

looks great
I am doing more quilting and needed a machine that had a variety of stitches. Plus, I wanted a computerized machine. This seems great. Brother has a quality product for beginners and the casual sewist. The needle threader is the best! I have sight issues and was able to do it after three tries. The manual is downloadable and gives good instructions. I printed out the pages I wanted. I like the feature that lets you sew without the foot. Also the light really lights up the work area well. You get a lot for your money. There are you tube tutorials available. This is a great beginner machine and for me, the casual sewist, takes sewing to a higher level.

Great, affordable machine
Does exactly what I need it to do. Nice selection of stitches, quiet, easy to thread, especially with the needle threader.
