Poor Workmanship and Construction
Pros: The hardware on the collar was the ONLY positive thing on this collar.CONS: The way this collar is made is very POOR! The rolled part is GLUED! It should be sewn. In addition, there was a piece of leather that was cut like a knife point and sharp.Overall I wasted my money. I wish I had ordered one from master craftsmen on Etsy. Which I am now. The poor quality of this collar makes me wonder why anyone would put this on their dog. The GLUED edge will eventually separate and heaven forbid your dog bolts or gets loose at an inopportune time where they could get hurt or killed.BIG THUMBS DOWN!

Very Pleased
Nicely made collar. One reviewer was concerned about the warning on the tag about possible carcinogens in the leather. English bridle leather is usually vegetable dyed. After doing a little research I found that California has warnings about brass. The warning did not specify what could be possibly carcinogenic. Initially I was a bit concerned about it as well. Since the collar sits on fur rather than direct contact with skin I don't think it is much of an issue. I've used leather collars with brass hardware on many dogs for many years and they have all lived long and healthy lives. This is a well made collar and a nice piece of leather.

Love it
It was a little stiff when we first got it but I love it. I have a male standard poodle. Most collars got tangled in his fur when it is longer and mat it down. Although I don't think there is ever a sure fire way to not have his longer fur get matted down I love how this collar fits him, looks on him and doesn't get tangled in his fur when it is longer.

Best collar ever for long haired dogs
I've had several of these on numerous long haired dogs, and it's the only kind I'll use. The center core makes it stretch resistant and strong. Stands up to pulling, swimming, you name it. The hardware is also exemplary.

I love the rolled leather which is great for his curly ...
I ordered the smallest size for my cockapoo who had outgrown his collar and was ready for something more long-term than a puppy collar. I love the rolled leather which is great for his curly hair and the high quality feel of the leather. That said, I don't love the long tail on it. It is more than half as long as the collar itself, and if you have to use the smallest setting as we did, the end sticks out so guess what? the dog chewed it. If the edges weren't treated I would just cut off the end that he chewed. I mean, does a 14" collar really need to expand to 19", especially when the collar comes in 2-inch size increments? I really doubt my little dog will gain enough weight to go up more than one collar size or possibly two if he were grossly obese.

Quality product
Beautifully made a sturdy. Some people may think it is too stiff but I wanted something that would not rub the neck hair too much and would soften up with age.
