Materials are cheap, but it does the job
My only complaint with these is the cheap materials. The stands are a little wobbly due to their odd design. The softbox diffusors are kind of saggy and flimsy. The lights themselves are nice however. They have a good range of brightness and colors. The remote makes them super easy to operate. I was just looking to make my room look better on Zoom and YouTube. And they've definitely accomplished that.I've heard some people say they were hard to put together. They were definitely a bit of a struggle the first time, but once you understand how to do it, the process is actually pretty quick and easy.If I had to do it again, I'd probably pay $200 for the Neewer lighting kit that's one step up. But for the money, I'm not unhappy with this.

Great for photo shoots
Although as of this review I have only used them on location twice, I really like them. The kit is well designed and a great value.

Value Product.
The product is exactly as advertised. I got a discount voucher, which increased the value greatly. It is definitely built for price. It is not what you would call high grade industrial. It is made for light duty. The product works, and the functionality is a great value for the money. However, if you are going to be using this day to day, you will probably want to invest in something more robust. It is definitely made for "light use" The LED's are bright, and are as advertised. However the housing, the soft box supports, and so forth are quite flimsy. If you are going to buy this -- buy it when it is on sale. DO NOT PAY FOR RETAIL. When it is on sale you'll get a very good value for the money.I purchased this to retire my fluorescent soft boxes that I purchased years ago. The big difference is that my old fluorescent soft boxes were made of metal and compared to these could take quite a pounding. The good: The quality of the lighting. The bad: Flimsy construction.Overall: A value product.

Bang for your buck
I absolutely love these lights. I use them to shoot my YouTube videos. Putting the boxes on is a little tricky because the directions are pretty bad. Do yourself a favor and YouTube how to put these together. Other than that, they are great

Okay Quality, Great Lights
I received these lights very fast and was surprised that they all fit so nicely in the carry bag/case that they came in. Besides shipping damage to the box, everything was in order. The only bad thing is the quality of the reflector and fiberglass rods!Upon arrival, some of the rods were slightly bent and one of my reflectors was ripped. The stands that hold the lights up are light and easy to use. It all feels a little fragile or light, everything except the actual light heads themselves. The good is the LED light heads that you get are pretty awesome. Very bright and very adjustable for a beginner kit like this. The remote that comes with them is very easy to set up and use (but you need AAA batteries). The filters that come in are very easy to put in and swap out, just make sure you use white light to get maximum color out of the filters.

If you need lights, ones that work and are affordable (raises curtain) tada!!!!
These lights are perfect, unless you wanna shell out big boy bucks for big boy lights these are the lights you need (and even if you did have the money to be honest I don’t see any reason not to use these). You can use a included wire to power these or do like I did and just buy a few batteries, and yes the batteries last a LONG time. It comes with color gels (which aren’t really gels but a hard plastic) and they work great. The soft box is easy to set up and does a great job of diffusing. The stands are on the cheaper side but the thing is they aren’t holding a ton of weight, so I’m okay with it. Why are you still reading hit the buy button go! Go make great movies with these great lights, stop reading go!!!!!!

Very good for beginners, You get what you pay for
Ok, this has "it all". Variable brightness, variable color temperature, battery options and a remote. I'm using it for product photography/glass and it works quite well. As others have mentioned, the light boxes are both thin material and a little harder to assemble. Mainly because you're bending rods to get the tension needed to correctly form the material. But if you're like me and you're going to leave them built, it should be fine. One of the light stands arrived with a bend in the flimsy metal, but it's not affecting usability so I'm not going to bother exchanging it. Just be aware that even with a perfectly shipped box, products may arrive damaged. Only used them for a few days, but so far they've worked well. No issues with either LED via batteries (bought separately) or the included power cables. For the price, this is a nice introduction to lighting gear.

Surprisingly Good
Camera lighting generally used to cost an arm and a leg, I was really impressed with overall quality, light output, and usability of these lights. The color temperature adjustment is very useful and is reasonably accurate. The gels and remote are a nice inclusion, as is the ability to run the lights on both the included line adapters, and the possibility of using battery packs. This makes using the lights in remote locations very easy.Build quality is good for what you are paying for, and it would be a hard sell to say that you get your money's worth from lights that are significantly more expensive.Definitely recommend these lights.

Great Budget Lights / Tricky to Assemble
These lights are SUPER bright and blinding without the diffusers on it (which is awesome if you want harsh lighting). Being able to customize the brightness and colour temperature with a remote is awesome. Being able to pack everything up in a medium sized bag (with cheap material) is handy. The only issue I ran into was the set-up process.Word of advice to anyone trying to set these softboxes up. The metal rod DOES NOT go behind the fabric loop, it goes inside the fabric loop. I wish I would have known that before I tried setting them up improperly for 1 and half hours. They are still very tricky to assemble though, takes lots of force to get the metal rods in the right places. But it's worth the struggle to get better lights.I'll be using the lights to make my Youtube videos more professional. If YOU want to make your videos or photos look more professional. I would highly recommend these lights. They're a great set of lights for an affordable price.

Love my purchase
I'm happy with my purchase. The quality of the materials is good for the price and was not hard to assemble. I don't know about portability because I'm only using it in my home studio, but it is a litte time consuming to take apart and put together, besides that it come very compact, would be easy to travel with.

best entry-level option
Minimal "new product" smell that went away after 1 day. Knocked a star because the white overlay sheet had a velcro tab stitched to the wrong spot. The other 7/8 were accurately placed. The remote, digital display, dimming and brightness features are very important to have. I typically keep these at 10% brightness. Doesn't produce a ton of heat either. I would prefer it went down to 2700k. The white cover does convert the warm light into whiter light so be aware of that. The yellow filter included with it is too warm to look realistic when lighting a subject (jaundice). As my first studio lighting kit I am very pleased to have gone with Neewer. Digital display, remote, dimming and brightness features are important; don't settle for the cheaper kits.

These lights exceeded my expectations
Set these lights up to help light my green screen and myself properly when doing videos. They are incredibly bright at the highest setting and the color temp adjustments is great.I highly recommend them.
