Perfect for a pi zero
Great for a raspberry pi zero(w). Not enough power for a pi5 but for most others it’s great.

Little spendy, but actually functions
I've messed with, fiddled, built and tried multiple solutions of battery backup for a pi. All flawed in some way. This one functions. No reboots when reconnecting power. Nothing underpowered or getting hot. I've not done extensive testing on its ability to keep batteries balanced (2s). I2c and some SMBUS python gets you some info about real-time power, -+amps and TOTAL voltage and % SOC. ... So yeah a little spendy, but I immediately purchased another. You'll have to power your pi off 8.4v now. I think 12v is probably also fine. Other than that, nothing to complain about. My pi is also powering a small 7inch display, which has not been an issue yet. I've enjoyed the three waveshare items I've purchased. They always seem thoughtful, and have key information to get things going. Oh! One gripe. I didn't like the brass standoffs. They did work, but were a odd, small and more delicate size. Different than the standoffs that came with my displays.

It's great for everything but what it's supposed to do
Had absolutely no problems with the power supply until I actually needed it to perform. Had a storm that had the electric kicking off and on and the next day I couldn't get anything through the hat. If I flip the batteries, the warning lights kick on, but plugged in or just on battery and no current comes through. Looking to return immediately

Works but limited os functionality
Works fine as a UPS, raspberry pi integration is iffy at best though. There is no clear way to get it to function with battery module in raspberry pi os or Debian os. The terminal interface works fine but its useless beyond informing you of its status. No issue with it's charge/discharge function with matching 18650s and the included charger.

Great RPi UPS
A pair of batteries will run a RPi-3B for over 3 hours. Handy for mobile use and sensor testing. The ability to monitor battery voltage and current was the feature that led me to this unit. You don’t need to mount the board as a HAT if you are worried about cooling and airflow. You only need a handful of wires or a ribbon cable to mount this next to the RPi. Only thing I need to work on is a reset circuit as this one requires a button press if the batteries cut out before power is restored. Great little board.

I was disappointed with the Waveshare UPS HAT
I was disappointed with the Waveshare UPS HAT for Raspberry Pi 4B. The power output was inconsistent, causing my Raspberry Pi to unexpectedly shut down multiple times. Additionally, the charging function didn't work properly, leading to a frustrating user experience.

Good
Works great for my robot. I can get about 45 minutes to an hour of use out of each charge. The switch from wall to battery power works perfectly and keeps the pi powered. It charges the batteries properly. Being able to get battery data with code is also tight

Get the right batteries
I got the wrong batteries by mistake. This fits 18650 flat cells great. The driver is nice for using python to get some info about the battery status.

Es un buen HAT, el problema es que no surten de forma confiable y tardan mucho en llegar, por lo que cuando ya los esperas es muy tarde para pedir con otros proveedores.

The shipping company kept me updated about the status of my delivery. Item received quickly and as described.

I use a Pi 2 for home server stuff like automation and backups. I previously used a UPS to back this device up but that gets very inconvenient when I want to move the Pi itself. Now it's self contained, Pi, power backup, and my e-paper HAT. And those annoying undervolt warnings are gone too. Love this.

Look like it’s working… but no manual no pinout nothing ….

I like this UPS module for Raspberry Pi! Pros: -uses 40 pin standard GPIO identical to RP standard -great build quality and components -detailed monitoring data available -polarity warning LEDs so you can't screw up battery insertion Cons: -uses less-common 18650 Lithium-Ion batteries, and they aren't included! -wonky 8.4V DC power input (what the heck is wrong with the 5V/9V/12V we've used since the beginning of time? How about a USB/PD power option?) Recommended because it's cool as heck to have UPS backup power for my Raspberry Pi!
