Must have if you keep African Cichlids.
Cichlid lake salt is a must! I use some RO water and use seachem's Cichlid Lake Salt to replace the good minerals that the RO filters take out. I think this also helps the fish stay healthy and heal faster after they fight. Just make sure you receive what you ordered before you dump it into your tank. I ordered cichlid lake salt and received Reef Buffer, if i used the reef buffer like i used the salt, the PH would be super high. One sticker says cichlid lake salt, the other two say reef buffer. Amazon took care of me and my new bucket of salt should be here today.

Update - Expensive and Turns into a Brick Once it Hits Water
At this price I doubt I will buy it again. I will mix up my own cichlids salt from a fraction of the cost. If it last me a year or more, I might buy it again. We’ll see. It should be $25. Update: After several months I wanted to provide an update on this salt mix. It turns into a brick as soon as it hits water. It does not easily dissolve. You have to crush and work it to get it into the water. Little particles enter the water and the fish try to consume it which it probably not good for them. I found some extreme fine mesh bags and double bagged to prevent the chunks that the fish were trying to eat. It’s still a pain. I would prefer a product that dissolves in water more readily.
