I like these masks that loop behind the ears and don't mess up my hair.

Everything about this mask is good except the nose metal insert. If you have a thin nose, as I do it just doesn't work. I have tried so many times to get it to adjust across my nose but the metal piece will not bend to fit. There's a gap across my nose. It's just too stiff.

I read many articles on how to tell fake mask from authentic & what brands are approved by the US. Having about 10hours, yes my hubby laughed too, but this is my family we are talking about, I finally decided to purchase these masks. Well they came individually sealed which is what I expected, b/c this was at least 1 way they must be packaged to be authentic kn95. My son actually tried 1st. He was in a hurry to leave for school and said they didn't fit his face, that they were not made for his full cheeks. But he's A fussy 6th grader who was unhappy these were the only mask I had. I then used myself to run a few errands, I sealed my nose and immediately thought, "wow, this is a nice seal, I don't feel any air pockets." After about an hour later, I actually forgot I had on. Any other mask I had worn, I can't stand to keep on for more than I need to. But with these, not only did I feel relieved because I did my research and knew they were authentic, but I could breathe, and I actually could focus while wearing.Just fantastic! To make this mom feel even better about mask decision and all time spent researching, well the fussy young man who left unhappy in his new mask, came home super happy and said he felt very safe in mask because he felt sealed all day long, but just wanted black next time around.I'm so happy with my purchase that I immediately purchased for my 70yr. old mother who has diabieties, and told her only wear these from now on!!One of the best purchases I've made throughout this horrible Pandemic. This will be my go to from now on, and until something significant changes, like then end of pandemic.At first I felt expensive, but once I realized how safe I and my family were when wearing I was sold. To add to it, they really do last for At least the weak. Just put in the plastic they came in before throwing in purse or bag. This helps to keep clean and keep in use for a week or longer, and well worth the price paid.Absolutely fantastic!!

8/22/21 Update: I have ordered other KN95 masks to compare them to this one, which has been my go-to mask during most of the pandemic. The Covaflu face mask continues to compare favorably. I ordered several boxes at about $30 for a box of 10 and they have come down to $10 or less per box of 10, so they are an even better value now. I still double mask with a surgical type mask either under or over the Covaflu -- you can't be too careful with the deadlier Delta virus going around -- but this is the one mask I would trust the most after comparing them with dozens of others.Original Review:I would prefer an N95 to a KN95 but you cannot get the N95 so I went with the alternative and I was happy with the results. The Covaflu masks fit well, forming a tight but light and comfortable seal with ear loops rather than over-the-head loops. They are also fairly priced relative to others. I bought 3M N95's for the California fires from a few years back, and they are not nearly as comfortable as the Covaflu KN95. I was concerned about the slight smell that a few reviewers noted but to me it was slight and it did not bother me as it was not as bad as the N95. I have bought 7 packages of this product and for now, after ordering and trying dozens of different masks, it is my go-to mask when I need to venture outside to brave the pandemic.

A couple weeks ago I was helping a relative organize their garage after a move. We all wore cloth masks and kept 6 feet apart, but it was nice to feel a connection to family after so many months of just zoom and facetime. I thought the mask fit well and was doing its job, but at one point a dust bunny flew in the side of my mask and up my nostril. My sister's a nurse who's dealt with lots of COVID patients and she says sometimes in a hurry she's only had a cloth mask around COVID patients but she's been fine. I'd like to feel more protected, though. I'm a teacher in California, and I'll likely have students in my classroom next month, so I guess I'm buying peace of mind. I think these will do the trick.It's hard to get a perfect seal around the nose, but the nose wire is better than any cloth mask I've tried. Around the rest of my face it feels like a good seal. It's comfortable and I can breathe fine, but I can feel a tiny bit of resistance to air-flow through the mask, which I find reassuring. They don't smell bad, they just smell like my own breath. And I did cut them open to confirm there are four layers--the two filter layers in the middle tend to stick.They're a little pricey, but they're a lot cheaper than the disability insurance my superintendent offered that probably wouldn't pay out for COVID anyway.

These KN95 masks have multiple rows of clear little windows which, when they wear out, will do so invisibly.(Also, rural USPS had trouble delivering these masks reliably, they may spend an extra day languishing somewhere in or around your local post office.)
