Does this support stereo sound? Many similar cables are wired wrong and don't support stereo for some reason.

If use with Sega Genesis system, it won't support stereo sound because of wrong wiring.

Wondering why this isn't working on my sega genesis 2, mk-1631? any tips or tricks?

if it fits the back, then probably the genesis has failed. mine works, just takes a few seconds to start the sega logo on-screen. or turn it off and take out the cartridge and re-insert it. if that doesn't work and no other games do, then if the cartridge slot is not dirty etc, then its probably your system itself.

Unsure of the model of my sega. It has nine holes for the av slot, should I get the cable for the Genesis 2 and 3 or the Genesis 1?

the model 1 genesis is the largest of the 3 models and has a volume slider to adjust headphone volume. the model 2 genesis is smaller than the model 1 and has no volume slider. the model 3 is the smallest of all the three and has a big three on it. the av cable for the model 1 has 5 prongs and the one for a model 2 has more than that. hope that helps abit
