Replaced the AC compressor on an '06 RAV4 with this unit and it's working beautifully. Gave back life to a vehicle we were considering trading in. Installing it myself saved me a ton and was FAR less than the parts price quoted by shops and dealer. Even if you can't install it yourself, find a shop that will install it for you, definitely worth the savings!

2006 Rav4 - 2.4L I-4 Engine
Needed a new compressor (OEM) to replace my old one. The old one seized up which led to pulley misalignment and caused my serpentine belt to fly off. This new Denso 471-1617 compressor fit my 06 Rav4 perfectly. Saved over $200 by buying this part online vs. the mechanics. Working well so far.

I made sure the seller was Amazon.com and not a reseller. Everything was new and made in Japan. I will update my rating if there is any problems. Only problem was the plastic caps that were provided came off when I was installing it. I wish the caps came tight. I Should have tightened it before trying to install it. So had to buy some peg oil to replenish it.

Great performance and exceptional price
This compressor works great in my wife's 2008 Toyota Camry.We had a friend of the family who's a mechanic put it in and recharge the system with refrigerant. The whole job saved us well over a thousand dollars, and we paid less than half for this compressor than was quoted for the compressor alone at a service center and the dealership.

Compressor broke (clutch seized up) less than 1.5 years later bought January 2018
This is an OEM compressor and it is supposed to be good quality. Normally, I believe it would be. I have a 2007 Toyota Camry and purchased the above January 2018. I don't drive more than 10,000 miles a year, and it seemed to be working fine. Then I heard a grinding noise, and the air conditioner stopped working. Apparently, the clutch sieized up according to my mechanic who is honest. I just had him get another compressor with clutch, and install it with the Freon.It was disappointing that a component such as this would fail so quickly. He said to me that he usually gets his parts from a local supplier, as he has bought online, and sometimes instead of new parts, he gets re manufactured parts. This part looked new, but maybe it wasn't?
