Exceeded my expectations
I was skeptical of purchasing this zero gravity lounger since I've owned a Zinus mattress before, and it was an uncomfortable experience. Combined with the pictures of lumpy covers left by other reviewers, it felt like a gamble. However, the dimensions were perfect for a bedroom escape and the design looked ergonomically orgasmic. So I pulled the trigger, and I'm glad that I did.I read a review where a guy took a leaf blower to his lounger while it was airing out. Since I wanted a tight fitting cover, I did the same (reverse output on a shop vac). I pumped air to the parts where the liner/foam hand wrinkles, then threw the cover into the dryer for 15 minutes with some laundry balls. These pictures are 1 hour after I removed the memory foam and cover from the box. There are still some slight wrinkles to be worked out, but they say 24-48 hours for it to expand. The base of the lounger is a firm memory foam, whereas the area on the top of the lounger (from back to feet) is a softer foam. I'm 5'6" and this lounger is just about the perfect size for me. The base of my skull hits the top of the chair and my feet dangle over the edge.I can't imagine trying to fit in this if you were any taller. It seems close to perfect for my short height, but I still kinda feel like an adult in a child's chair. It is extremely low to the ground, so you'll need to make sure you have some strength in your knees if you're an adult. That being said, this lounger is comfy. I nearly fell asleep after testing it out the first time, and it's such a relief after doing some exercise. The lumbar pillow is a nice touch and the whole feel/design of the cover feels premium, a saving grace since the chair is a bit juvenile in design.Another huge plus for me is the foot rest. Like the pictures show, it's the perfect spot to get some work done on your laptop because there's ample room. That area alone is about 22" x 13" and fits my laptop and iPad mini (in portrait road). Great for studying, working, or multitasking.Overall: I am very satisfied with my purchase and it seems like a steal for $the 190 sale price. I have a relaxing lounger that relieves pressure, gives me a quiet place to work, takes up very little room, and is beautiful to look at.

Comfortable for so many reasons
Extremely enjoyable for computational work. I have been using mine for telework (laptop) and for media consumption (with an Apple Vision Pro, your head is supported at exactly the right angle). LOL, it is great for a little exercise when getting out of it. Your bottom will be only a few inches off the floor. As I am an older person, this is all to the good, but you should bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. If you have pets, you will either love it or perhaps hate it. My dogs think it is a wonderful piece of furniture because my face is right at dog-licking height. My older dog likes sleeping on it when I am not using it, as she doesn’t have to jump to get on it. The dogs can sleep right next to me on the floor making it easier to pet them when I am on it because my arms are already on their level. The covering is frankly very boring and utilitarian (and I don’t know how well it would stand up to pet paws or kiddie playing). On the other hand, it is easy enough to throw a sturdy or elegant throw over it so that’s no issue at all.Had no trouble with the expansion. In fact, the directions implied it might some hours when in fact it started decompressing as soon as I had the wrapping off. I did follow the directions and put the cover in the drier for short time to unwrinkle it and had that ready *before* I unwrapped the lounge. And still had to hustle to get the cover onto it before the lounge had fully expanded. Tip - it’s going to be easier to put the cover on before it is entirely expanded.I absolutely love this minimalistic piece of furniture and recommend it as being highly comfortable.

Do not buy
I purchased the chair and followed the provided instructions. The foam in the chair never fully expanded; it did expand to about 90%; therefore, the outside cover fitted very loosely. I contacted Amazon for assistance, and they told me to contact the manufacturer, Zinas. Zinnas told me to massage the foam in the chair and wait 7 days; otherwise, contact Amazon. I had no joy with further expansion, so I returned it to Amazon for a refund. The biggest issue was that the foam had expanded. I could not use the original box in which it was delivered, as it was in a vacuum-sealed bag, so this return would come all free; Amazon requires it to be packaged when shipped back. Therefore, I had to pay to have a box built for the shipping chair back to Amazon, which cost me about $60. I see there are other buyers on here of people having similar issues over the past six month

Have a seat
The chair is very sturdy and comfortable. It is really easy to remove the outside cover and wash it and keep it clean. It is really ox ward, and I have a hard time finding a place for it in my small living room. For the price it is worth it. It also has a modern look to it. It is however very easy to get in and out of and it suits its purpose for circulation of my legs.

easy to set up, expands instantly out of package, firm, comfy
The ZINUS Lotus zero gravity Chaise lounger/ foam recliner is super comfortable to sit/sleep on. The inner foam started to expand immediately out of the package. No bad or weird odor at all. In a few minutes it's already in a good shape. I bought this for my son to read books. My son and I put the cover on and left the zipper open for 30 minutes before we zipped it up. We tried sitting on it before and after the 30 minutes. We could feel the firmness getting stronger. It says in the manual that the foam will keep expanding for 72 hours even inside the cover. So I think it will get even firmer and have more support. Right now it's comfortable and supportive. For me (5 ft 4) and my son (a 9 yrs old), this foam recliner is the right size to sit on, sleep on. Not sure if it fits any one with much bigger size. My son loves it. Hope it can fit him comfortably for a few years. Great product. Very genius design.
