Warner Bros ThunderCats New Line Home Video : The Complete Series

I'm a big fan of the 80's cartoons mostly because that was my era of kids TV and in my opinion they were better than many of nowadays. There is good animation out there now but also some total rubbish I really liked this version of Thundercats I don't like them with tails. My favourite was Wilykit the young female Thundercat Now we can see the whole lot the second season was never aired in the UK but we did get the 5 parter known as Ho! and The Movie. This set of discs shows that Thundera is reforming after it's getting destroyed and the Thundercats return home. If you were born here in the UK you may have never seen season two get this set a cheaper way is to buy single volumes or find season two only. This is a must for any fan from anywhere but in the UK where we never got season two it is a must own.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Thundercats, having grown up when the original series was on. Even had some of the toys when I was a kid, (no longer have any unfortunately. ) But..the series was fun, taught lessons and the animation was excellent. I appreciate the fact that this series was done at a time when things weren't computer animated, people animated this show with their hands, the technique for animation for this show and others similar to it, from 1985 to 1992, were still largely done by hand and in a painstaking, to me thoughtful way. The quality and even at times the errors we as viewers sometimes see make it special. Also actors brought these characters to life, so much work to bring these shows to life. Shows like this are worth a watch, and may even teach you a few lessons along the way.

If you’re buying this expecting crisp, high-definition animation that rivals modern Blu-ray releases... congratulations on your optimism, and welcome to disappointment. This is ThunderCats the way the ancient gods (and 1980s broadcast syndication) intended: slightly blurry, wildly dramatic, and entirely awesome. The animation quality varies between “pretty solid” and “wow, they really reused that frame six times,” but again—that’s part of the charm. The packaging is fine. Nothing fancy. It holds discs. That’s its job, and it does it. Barely. If you were expecting collectible art cards or a Sword of Omens replica, you may be confusing this with a deluxe Blu-ray release that doesn’t exist and probably never will. But here’s the thing: despite the grainy visuals, the lackluster extras, and packaging that screams “we had a $27 budget,” this show still rules. The drama, the action, the completely unnecessary yelling of every character’s name during battle—it all holds up in the most gloriously over-the-top way. This set isn’t perfect, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s ThunderCats, and it’s all here. And for fans, that’s more than enough.

Really wanted this Dvd set and everything was prefect. Looking forward to watching :)
