Wonderful product
The only place I can connect my router in my house is in the furthest spot in the living room away from all the bedrooms. Since I haven't braved crawling through the attic to attach wired options throughout the house just yet I decided to get this little adapter since it was cheap and I figured if I ever got unlazy it wouldn't be a big waste of money. I am entirely glad I got this over one of the other more expensive products. This works phenomenally. I am in the back room of the house (furthest possible spot away from the router) and I still get a full 5 bars whether my door is open, closed, people are home, etc. My connection never gets interrupted and it runs strong. My download speed has increased an INSANE amount over the adapter this one was replacing which just couldn't manage to hold a stable connection over three bars. I was super happy with this product and will probably be buying a few more for the other PCs in the house until we get something more permanent set up. Hell, I may decide just to keep it wireless since I haven't experienced any of the issues that I normally have with wireless adapters. GREAT GREAT GREAT buy. Just remember that when installing you only install the driver on Windows 7 otherwise it acts a little wonky. Other than that its practically plug and play. I just stuck it in and ran through the driver install with the disc they provided, only using the drivers, and it was working within a minute or two and going strong ever since.

I am very pleased with my purchase
I purchased this product to replace my powerline adapter connections because the powerline adapters were causing some of my sensitive devices to lose their internet connections. My PC is about five years old and does not have built-in Wi-Fi. I am very pleased with my purchase. I first plugged my adapter into a USB 3.0 port on the rear of my PC. My PC is facing against a wall and is inside an enclosure built into my deck especially for PC’s. The rear of the PC enclosure is open so my first thought was to install it out of sight. I was surprised to find I did get a connection to my router but the signal was not as strong. I now have it plugged into my USB 3.0 4-Port Hub sitting on the top of my desk. My reception with the adapter plugged into the hub is exceptionally good. The device is working perfectly even with three other USB devices plugged into the hub. This adapter is truly plug-n-play if you have Windows 10. Windows installed the necessary drivers. There was no need to download drivers or use the included driver disk. I plugged it in, Windows recognized it, and installed the drivers. I connected to my Wi-Fi router, provided my credentials, and the adapter was working. My PC is currently about 50 feet from my Wireless router. The router is located in another room down the hall. I am pleased to report the signal is very strong. I just completed a download test to my PC. I am getting 14.2 Mbps down and 1.68 Mbps up. That is just as fast as the speed I was getting with my powerline adapter. I was a little reluctant to purchase this adapter at first because of the price. I found other adapters that were priced 2+ times as much as this one; however, I decided to try this one because of the excellent reviews. I’m pleased that I purchased the Panda adapter. Based on my experience, I don’t believe you will be disappointed.

Plug and Play on Manjaro
Works out of the box with no drivers needed on Manjaro Linux. That’s exactly what I was looking for, and it’s cheap. Build quality seems solid and doesn’t feel cheap. But you need to be aware of what you’re buying. This is a single band wireless N device restricted to 2.4ghz. Depending on your router and internet package from your ISP, that may not matter. I was getting up to 50-70mbps download speed, and that works well for most applications. And this seems reliable, it never cut out on me. However, wireless N is outdated and has its limitations, mostly seen when downloading large files. If you’re able/willing to install drivers, you can get an 802.11ac dual band device that can leave this thing in the dust as far as speed is concerned. I replaced it with a USB 3 device like this and am now getting over 200mbps. If you need something that works out of the box, your router or ISP package are limited to the slower speeds, or those speeds are just fine for what you plan on doing then by all means buy it. It’s a great little adapter and works exactly as you would expect. Just know that there are better options out there for a similar price if that’s what you’d prefer.

Best bang for the buck USB WiFi out there
****Functions FLAWLESSLY on Ubuntu, Pi, Kali, in monitor, inject, flood, and hotspot sharing. It literally does it all and it's plug and play. Works on gf's hackintosh. Works on SkyWave Linux 3.1.1. This is MY first-hand experience.**** For 'regular use': This is a great adapter. After 6 months though, the signal will slow down, about 25%, and a quick unplug and plug back in (all in under a second) fixes it for hours. I suspect I MIGHT have a computer virus though, and I have no way to test it on anything other than a (possibly infected) laptop I have. Different antennas make a BIG difference and the antenna they send works best, and quite well. I'm shooting right at 1/2 nearly straight shot (maybe 15 degrees of straight), clear line-of-sight, and 10ft from WiFi modem I'm getting 15Mbs ( 12-16 Mbs is the max availible- I'm extremely rural) and at the half mile + location the adapter is deployed, I'm getting 9-13 Mbs.....with absolutely NO mods and only a pane of glass in-between by the base and a pane of glass in-between by the adapter. For this situation, it works amazingly well. ****It also functions FLAWLESSLY on Ubuntu, Pi, Kali, in monitor, inject, flood, and hotspot sharing. It literally does it all and it's plug and play.****

but never really gave it a chance because Windows looked and worked so much easier and better (in my case)
UPDATE: Has worked so good that I just bought the smaller version to replace a Linksys on another computer...great products! Detailed Information .. accurate information .. service and support let you know they're there for you if needed. I lack the words to express how much I think of them. Now, to the product .. have tried Linux off and on for about 20 years, but never really gave it a chance because Windows looked and worked so much easier and better (in my case). A few years ago - as Microsoft seemed to be trying to push me away - I tried 3 Linux versions, but could not get connected to the internet because I had Verizon wireless and needed USB adapter to go through my 4G Jetpack. Searched but found none other than "it supported Linux" .. right, which version and/or distro. Linux sites have never been very helpful or informative to/for newbies, so I gave up again. Then recently I tried Windows 10 upgrade - like it, so bought the Full version for my main computer (have some computers for testing) ... ended up spending over an hour++ trying to activate it, then had to download over 3 GBs to get it undated and such (a brand new product needed over 3 GBs of updating!?!). I've spent thousands of dollars on Microsoft products since 1992, and they treat me like a thief. I've tested so many of their products they should pay me!!! I like Windows, so don't get me wrong, but they seem to not like or trust me. They also seem to be moving away from the Desktop (see WIN 8 and 8.1 junk) to phones, tablets and such as their main priority. I have their Office 2007 Home and Student for 3 computers, but they seem to want to RENT their new version out to you!?! Have already moved to testing LibreOffice for when my 2007 Office no longer works on newer MS OS's. After trying to get WIN 10 activated (I do like the product!) decided to look for Linux wireless USB adapters again and found the Panda PAU06 - AND its detailed accurate product information. Had an old Ubuntu 12.10 version which was supported by Panda wireless so ordered one. Arrived today ... plugged it in and Ubuntu said I was connected .. HOOOOORAAAYYY! Have also ordered Ubuntu 14.04, Mint 17 and Zorin 9.1 (all show support on Panda Wireless site) - that's 3 new versions for less that $6 each (WIN 10 was like $119) to check out and find which one I really like. A newbie like me needs to test several version/distros to find the one or two that fits best (I have Vista, WIN 7 & WIN 10 on main machine so am developing a main Linux machine now!). Thanks Panda Wireless!!!

Good device, consistently high link speed - installation could prove an issue for some.
I have a Windows 7 Pro machine where the internal wNIC card (Dell) was pretty much terrible, only getting 72 Mbps average. This is sitting 15' from a high end router with only a single door in the way. So I decided to try this on several others good reviews. Installation was not as describe in the instructions, though it proved easy to figure out. My up to date fully patched Windows 7 Pro did NOT recognize and install this as a PNP device. So I ran the XP installation program on the included disc (drive only!), and it installed. That is, until I clicked 'Finish', whereupon it failed immediately (could not find a specific DLL). I figured I would try it again, but go into the .exe properties and run it in compatibility mode (XP SP3) and as Administrator. Installed perfectly. Consistent 270-300 Mbps so far without a hiccup. I will update this as I throw some high throughput at it, and run multiple connections with high demand, we'll see how it handles it then. For now, I give this 4 stars, because the installation instructions could be a problem for some if Win 7 doesn't pick it up as a PNP device. Being a network administrator, I (and many other pc savvy folks) know how to troubleshoot issues like this and use CM and such, but not everyone will know these little tricks. ** UPDATE ** Ok, so after 1.5 years of having this, it is absolutely unreliable at this point. At about a year or so into owning this, maybe even 9 months, that high speed dropped to max of about 144 mbps. In the last 2 weeks, reliability has dropped dramatically. The past week has been an up and down of maybe 144 to as low as 2 - TWO mbps, fluctuating constantly. Currently holding at a paltry 58 mbps. For $20 beans, it did work well for a while. Longevity is an issue though - I personally expect simple hardware, however heavily used, to last longer than this. While I wouldn't buy it again, I can't say it's junk - it just has a relatively short shelf life. If you purchase this, expect to replace it within 2 years.

Time Will Tell
I did hours of research and finally decided to buy the PAU06. I got it in the mail on May 1, 2020. Today is May 13, 2020. Therefore, this is a 13 day review because that is how long I have been using it for. Regardless of time of day, the PAU06 works flawlessly. My son uses this computer to conduct online education. He is 4 years old and has no problem streaming high definition videos of his teacher. First things first, make sure the PAU06 is in a USB 2.0 port. For my computer setup, the USB 3.0 ports caused the PAU06 to get too hot. I contacted Panda Support the same day I got it. They responded immediately and said to move it to a USB 2.0 port and that fixed the problem. If you don't know if it is to hot, think of checking your child's forehead to see if they have a temperature. It is obvious if it is too hot. The computer setup that I am using is a DELL OPTIPLEX 9020 CORE i7vPro with 32GB of RAM and a 80GB HDD (it was free). Manufacture date for this computer was 20140606, which implies that the computer is at the least 6 years old. The current operating system I am running is Fedora 32 (Workstation Edition). The wifi router is a 343 Mbps DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem/Router with Wireless-N and Gigabit Ethernet. It is made by ZOOM Telephonics with model number 5352. It operates at a 802.11 band of 2.4Ghz. At 1500 hours, I did a simple Speedtest by Ookla in a Firefox browser while the computer was directly connected to the modem and it showed an average ping of 12, an average download speed of 200Mbps, and an average upload speed of 6Mbps. Something to note, that is the highest I have seen it because usually Xfinity throttles it. Similarly, I did a simple Speedtest by Ookla in a Firefox browser on this computer setup using the PAU06. The computer is located about 20 meters away from the router in an adjacent room. The average ping was 10, the average download speed was 50Mbps, and the average upload speed stayed the same at 6Mbps. The data did not change whether I used a bandwidth of 40MHz or 20MHz. Even if the channel interference level was severe, it didn't change the data. What does change it was time of day I do the test. However, the lower speeds have nothing to do with the PAU06. It is the router that is bottle necking the wifi speeds somehow. Also, none of my wireless devices are able to connect to the wifi if I disable the WMM on the router. So that isn't an option. At 1700 I disabled the XPress Technology on the router and now the download speeds are around 80Mbps.
