I have used this yeast twice now- so two packs and it works great. This is instant yeast- to let everyone know and make sure the recipe you use calls for instant- or that you can substitute for instant yeast, before you choose what to buy. I have never used yeast in the past, this is my first time. But this instant yeast was easy to use and I found that the whole packet measures out to 2 tablespoons- what most recipes call for (usually). The yeast took two hours to rise well with the recipe I used. The yeast was one of four ingredients. 3 cups of flour, the yeast packet, some sea salt and a cup and a half of warm water- then you let it sit for two hours to rise, I stored my dough in the fridge for two days (can store up to three). After I took it out of the fridge, I rolled the dough around in flour on wax paper to get it into a ball. Then you cover and bake for 30 minutes, 10 uncovered at 450 degrees. Great price, stored well and I love that I can take out a packet, open it and use the whole of the item inside- that I don't have to store anything after it has been opened. 1 pack of yeast didn't work. Rest worked well. Packaging is good. Amazon pricing is cheaper than any walk in store.
