Great taste and value!
No cons really. A little salty at first but everything else is nearly perfect. Brings me back to my childhood. Simply delicious!

An absolutely fantastic jerky made for those tired of sugary and overly tender jerkys (SEE EDIT)
EDIT: The price came down so I bought another bag. Totally different than what I was getting before. Jerky has this unpleasant gray color to it and it tastes totally different. It's not bad, it just tastes, well, cheaper. It's still salty and tough like I enjoy but has a strange aftertaste and looks off but smells fine. It's very strange and I just wonder what they changed or if the batches of this Frontier Style Thin are really just this inconsistent. If the company reads these I wouldn't mind someone getting back to me about this and I plan on contacting them directly. Still a fine jerky but I'm knocking down a star. Will update if I get another bag and things are back to normal or if the company contacts me with an explanation. I have been a fan of Oberto Thin Style my entire life until about a year or two ago when the recipe changed for the worse. They ruined the product. I've been searching for a replacement ever since. I finally found it with this Cattleman's Frontier Style Thin. It is nearly identical in quality, texture, and thinness. The only difference I can tell is the flavor is slightly different but that is not a bad thing. The smoke flavor is great, if a little overly salty, and that's from someone who loves salty snacks so if you don't that might affect your enjoyment of the product. All that being said if you like thin jerky with a little chew that isn't full of sugar please check this out! It was so good I bought two more packs of the peppered flavor to try out. I cannot say enough good things about this jerky! Get some!

Not satisfying to chew on.
These are cut into bite sizes and are much softer than I'd like. This brand's other products are all softer and smaller cuts since I initially bought their products.

Really enjoyed
I am a beef jerky snob with the types of products that I enjoy. Sticky coated flavored pieces, sugary or oily jerky. I have enjoyed another brand 51 years. I prefer a drier, not brittle, yet still pliable and marinated well. I ordered this product because of the reviews and product description. When I opened the bag at first I thought I made a bad decision. The jerky is thinly sliced (good) and pliable. Initially, I thought by the feel it was going to be overly sugared. I was wrong. After the first taste I knew it was good. Smokey, tender, and not drowned in a sugary coating. Cattleman's has a great recipe. I had to have my wife hide the rest of the bag or I would have devoured the rest. I definitely will be buying this jerky again.

Tons of salt salt salt!!!
$22.69 for 6 oz bag of beef jerky. Highway robbery. Tons of salt probably to preserve and make it last longer. So salty I couldn't even eat it and this item is not returnable either. 680 mg x 6 servings = 4080 mg of sodium for entire 6 oz bag.
