Surpassed my expectations.
I got a couple of these for a family trip to a few theme parks and I wasn’t expecting how great this bottle worked! It drastically improved the taste of water from a fountain. I do recommend rinsing the filter insert with fresh purified water after about ten refills, or basically after a long day out at the theme park and let the filter completely dry before using it again. Doing that will make the filter last longer. New filter inserts are not at all expensive which is another plus! I paired the bottle with an over the shoulder sling that was also insulated and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. Highly recommended product!!

The perfect water bottle for traveling
I typically drink filtered tap water at home and I’m not a fan of buying plastic water bottles. (They’re bad for the environment and it seems like a scam to buy brands that are just purified tap water.. & unless you buy expensive spring water there isn’t enough mineral content to properly hydrate.)That being said I’m really picky about how water tastes, so when traveling If the tap water isn’t good and there’s no access to a filter I end up spending a bunch of money on bottled water. This Brita filter water bottle solved that issue!I took it with me to the airport and on a couple flights and it made the airport water bottle station tap water taste so much better! (The water from those stations is usually terrible)I was able to use this bottle throughout the trip from various tap water sources and It filtered it all pretty well. I was not disappointed.I have continued to use the water bottle since I’ve been home as well. I took it to work with me and as a delivery driver it was really nice to know I could fill it up at any park water fountain, gas station, ect knowing that the Brita would filter out most of not all of the bad tastes!Personally I had zero issues drinking through the straw. I was expecting it to be difficult after reading a lot of the reviews, but this was not the case. It works just fine with only a little resistance,

Best water bottle ever
I’m writing a review now , 3 yrs later , because I just had to replace mine, it’s been my favorite since I purchased it , the lid gave out today, this water bottle is VERY durable ! My grandkids have thrown and dropped it so many times, I carry it by lid piece and swing it around during hikes ,I’ve hung it off bike handle, it’s been thru it ! Lol . You can get water from ANYWHERE because it will be filtered, and I have onlt had to replace the filter every couple months despite using it daily ! It is as my DIL calls it my emotional support water bottle !

A bit TOO large, but very easy to use, and keep you hydrated as you sip throughout the day
The 36 oz Brita filtering water bottle was a little TOO big to fit into most cup/bottle holders I have, but it does keep me hydrated throughout the day with minimal fuss. The bottle has its own little carbon filter that claims to be able to filter enough water to fill up to 300 16.9 oz bottles, thus eliminating those bottles. I can't verify that claim, and San Francisco water is already one of the best, having came from the Hetchy Hetchy reservoir, so I can't tell you how it affects the taste, but I am tasting filtered water, that I do know. While genuine Brita replacement filters can be expensive, there are third-party filters that costs much much less. The bottle is a hard-side, and has a snap-close lid with its own strap that's not adjustable. Do NOT swing the bottle around with the lid open... I doubt the joint can take any abuse. Also, do NOT turn over the bottle with lid open... as there's vent hole that will release water if you do turn it upside down. Otherwise, it's a slightly oversized bottle, as most XL bottles stops at 32 oz, and this one is 36 oz.Cleaning is easy... Just wipe the tip you sip the water from. Since all you do is fill the inside with plain water, cleaning should be relatively minimal. And all the parts come apart for cleaning if you need to do a full clean. Just have a small wire brush and bottle brush for proper water bottle cleaning. All in all, it's a great way to keep a lot of water near you... fill it up once and it'll probably last you all day.

Great! I used it for college dormitory
When I arrived at UCLA's dorm, I realized, "Dang. It's pretty hard to get drinking water on the 7th floor!"This is the solution. I can get water from tap sinks, which is better than purified drinking water fountains because: (1) tap sinks have more water come out faster than water fountains - so that I can fill this bottle in 5 seconds; (2) tap sinks are more accessible in society than drinkable water fountains. I can go to any bathroom and just get tap water and not have to look everywhere for purified drinking fountains.I don't know if the water is actually well-filtered, although I do believe so because it tastes cleaner than tap water - yes, I have drunk tap water before. One thing is is that the bottle is plastic, so you probably shouldn't put hot water in it.Another thing is, if you want to pour the water into a cup to make instant coffee, for example - you can't do it. The only way you can get the filtered water is by sucking through the straw, not by pouring with gravity. This is actually possibly one negative side to this product. I had to just open the lid and pour out unfiltered tap water into my cup to make instant coffee. Tap water doesn't kill though, but it is a sad compromise.

Love my water bottle!!!!
We are constantly having boil bans in my community/ county and this has been a lifesaver for me!!! I’ve had it over a month now and the filter seems to be still going good but I ordered some more for it… I think I have exceeded 40 gallons but water is all I drink! It not too heavy to carry around and fits in all the cup holders. It’s not very well insulated though, but I drink majority of my water at room temp anyhow due to my teeth are sensitive. It’s very sturdy and made well!! Definitely recommend!!
