Replaces original perfectly
My car door was difficult to get to close all the way without slamming it shut. The rubber inside the door striker was worn and deteriorated. This new one replaced the original and the door closes shut with little effort as should be the case with a Mercedes. Replace both as a pair. I had to drill out one screw but it was easy and came fully out.

Plastic Parts worked great for how I used it
I kept my original MB metal parts and the main rubber part but used the small plastic part from this new unit and inserted it into my Left Hand front door striker. It worked great.
