it's a solid brass ball
Used it as an outdoor door pull, nice finish and did the job.

Looks good as a sword pommel.
This ball worked out great as a sword pommel. I drilled out the center in small steps to 3/16", and then peened it into place on my home made sword. It looks great, stood up to the peening pretty well, and polished up fine on my buffing wheel. I would buy again if I make another sword.

Solid brass with small hole bored through. Not seemingly machined spherical like a bearing
Solid brass with small hole bored through. Not seemingly machined spherical like a bearing, but good for ball pivot if you smooth the surface with abrasives. In my opinion it is more for decoration or used as knob for levers, etc.

It takes brass balls to sell real estate
Bought these after watching Alec Baldwin talk dirty to his real estate agents. Not only does it take brass balls to sell real estate, it takes brass balls to win in life. Grab yourself a pair and feed a string through it to give yourself an overwhelming sense of confidence.

Perfect for Paracord
Get some flitz or other metal polish abd you can really make this thing shine! 1" and has some weight. Nice for monkey fists with exposed ball.Yes that's the reflection of my bushes in the ball.

Very rough finish.
I expected these to be polished to a smooth finish. They are pretty rough, chatter marks and dents.
