and that is beautiful (it reflects the light in a thousand rainbow colors
This is NOT privacy film - perhaps my fault that I did not fully read the description? Either way, if looking for full privacy (e.g., so people outside your home cannot see you nude in your bedroom), this is not the item for you. However, if looking for something that will make the people in your home look blurry from the outside while having something that is beautiful on the window (it reflects the light in a thousand rainbow colors...makes it look like crystal), then this is a good product for you. I think it would be good for "moderate" privacy, and ONLY for rooms wherein you expect to be fully clothed or not doing something you don't want your neighbors seeing you do (e.g., bathroom activities, etc).

SO SIMPLE AND BEAUTIFUL!
JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! My apartment faces a shared courtyard and the building behind me has a rooftop deck that basically faces directly into my bedroom window. I like to keep my blinds open to let the sunlight in, but wanted some privacy from prying eyes. I bought the MOSAIC pattern and it was exactly what I was looking for.Good quality, durable material. Putting up the window cling was so simple. Just spray water, slap it on and brush out the bubbles. Cutting a straight line was the hardest part – If you have a long ruler and X-acto/razor, you’re fine. Added bonus – when the light shines through, it creates a beautiful rainbow effect that shimmers on the walls of my apartment!

I already out this on my windows!!! I have a pair of small windows over my kitchen sink. I bought this so that we could get some privacy, without blocking the sunlight, and not having curtains or blinds getting splashed with dirty dish water. This is the PERFECT solution!!!My windows are each 16 inches x 36 inches. I purchased one of these films to cover both because it was large enough to cut to size. I've used this type of window treatment before... it's super easy. They are a little annoying while applying them, but the result is lovely... and I have my privacy.... and sunlight... and they clean easily with a lysol wipe :)Directions say to leave an extra inch of space when cutting the size, apply and cut the boarder afterwards with a razor. I've done it that way before, but I won't be doing it again that way. The film's are slippery on the wet window; and for the razor to cut exactly straight the films need to be still and sturdy...but they are films, so that is not the case. My advice is this... measure the glass precisely... cut with sharp scissors without leaving the additional inch, soak window with a wet paper towel and peel the clear backing and place it on the window. I've also notice if I peel it halfway and let it fold over I can start in the middle, and press it upward to the top corners and then finish unwrapping and press to downward corners. If air bubbles occur use a squeegee or the edge of a book and press from the middle to the outer sides. A lot of airbubble issues resolve themselves after a night or 2 of being left alone.I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive, yet beautiful window treatment.... in my opinion these films win over any blinds or curtains. And there are so many different design options! They are easy to peel off. They do not damage the window or leave any type of gooey residue behind either. And if you store them properly you can reuse them too! To store safely I suggest getting a shower curtain liner; lay one down flat on one side, fold over and lay another down on top (leaving a layer of curtain in between the films).. then roll them up and throw them in the linen closet. That's it :)Maybe I'll get a few different designs and switch with the seasons lolAnyway, these are wonderful. Hopefully this helps someome! Happy window-filming!

Don't be intimidated by installation instructions
This is my first personal experience with window film. If you can do wallpaper, you can do window film.I had a 15" x 65" window in a door that was previously covered by rice paper to block the afternoon sun. Due to the location of the door, both sides of the film have to look fantastic. Most film I found either had no design or a design that had to be lined up. I settled on the pebble design because if it was not installed straight or the window and frame were slightly off, it wouldn't be noticeable in the design.I can happily say that I successfully installed the product. Although the product does not look like it has a backing, it really does have a backing which needs to be removed. The scotch tape method made it very easy to begin the separation of the film from the backing. The other piece that was crucial is spraying the water on the window before applying the film to the window. If there isn't enough water, small bubbles that can be seen in the pattern do occur. No amount of coaxing and smoothing could get them out. (Thank goodness it is a pebble pattern.). Because I took my time, some of the water had dried by the time I was cutting the excess from the corners. At that point, I pulled away some of the film from the window, re-sprayed the window, then put the film back down. I then found out how much the film could really stretch, as I now had more excess to trim.I like the look as it does block the direct sunlight into my living room while providing a tasteful design. I just hope it doesn't have separation issues like others have written in the reviews.
