Impressive little tent
This pops up in seconds, staking it down takes a couple minutes longer. I am 6'2" and fit in the tent, but just barely, I have to sleep corner to corner or my head or feet rub the tent wall. Without the rainfly on its wide open and you can gaze at the stars. With the rainfly on you can't see a darn thing outside at all until you unzip it to look out, but it keeps out the wind and rain great. Easy to put up and to take down. It can fit 2 people but then there is no room for anything else and you better like the other person cuz you'll definitely be spooning before the nights over. To me it is a one person tent but it's great.

Sweet!
Went on a two month road trip, camped about 20 days during the trip, and this tent was the best thing I decided to buy before the trip. It goes up in seconds, and comes down almost as fast. If I had one complaint, it would be the plastic hook that holds it up I can see might wear over time and become a problem, but I had no problems with it during my trip and am totally happy with it.I would like to note, I'm 5'9" and it's barely big enough for my height. I had room to spare, don't get me wrong, but I like to lay down at night and read before bed. Well, my feet were sometimes hitting the foot of the tent while I would scoot down to prop my book up by my head while lying on my stomach. When they say one man tent, they aren't kidding. It's small with very little head room. You can't stand up in it, but had room to sit straight up as long as I was in the middle. Overall if you are looking for a tent that's quick to put up, light enough to take hiking, then I highly recommend this one.

Great for Car Camping
Really quick and easy setup and takedown, as expected. Could be slightly improved if the clips for the rainfly were color coordinated so you could match them up more easily.Lots of space inside the tent. Reasonably small when folded up. (We have another similar pop up tent that uses the string pull to setup/expand. Both are the 2 person version. This tent is slightly larger space when setup but also slightly smaller when folded up.)Really great to have 2 doors (a lot of other pop up tents I looked at only have one door). Can have lots of ventilation if needed and both people can get out easily without disturbing the other person.

A company that stands behind its product.
I have many Teton products, enjoy them all. The 4 stars is for the 1,500 pu rainfly rating. It's the bottom of the scale and does leak according to The Gear Outdoors Reviews on YouTube, which is a far cry from their Mountain Ultra rainfly of 5,000 pu which I also own and use often. But I didn't get the Vista 1 for that. I'm using it as a bug bivy under a 15x15 AquaQuest tarp. I kayak camp. And after a long day paddling and getting pelted by rain, setting up a fairly quick camp is desirable. I love my Mountain Ultra because it's a really well made heavy duty tent, but it takes awhile to set up. This tent takes the hard work out of it and provides ample space for anyone under 6'. Depending on the thickness of your sleeping pad will determine how much it will accommodate as is tapers dramatically on the ends. And without the fly and in a voodoo tactical dry bag it weighs just 4 lbs. I keep zipties at the ready based on one review I read. Here's what I've learned about kayak camping in Florida. The 3V's, ventilation, ventilation, ventilation. The rainfly needs airflow vents up top to combat condensation, a higher pu rating and tie outs to keep the fly off the inner tent when it stretches from the rain. And I don't particularly like a door that zippers down vs up. But after all that's wrong, having something that deploys so easily and backed by a manufacturers warranty gives me confidence in my purchasing decision.

Quick, Reliable with a little rain & wind
I took this on its first 14 day fire assignment hoping not to have to use it but we got rained on off and on the last 5 nights. Setup was perfectly fast, and the locking mechanism some reviewers have had trouble with did just fine for me. It got a bit windy one of the nights, and there aren’t guylines on one side of the tent so it was a bit noisy, but for a “use in a pinch” situation, especially with the price, I think it did great. It’s not super roomy, which I was also fine with to save packing space, but if you’re over 5’7 you should go with a longer tent cause this ain’t for you. Overall, good buy. I think if it was dumping rain AND windy it wouldn’t hold up great but in all other conditions I’ll sing its praises.
