Different fragrance than the sticks (both while burned).
In my experience, incense cones often smell different than their stick counterparts; that is, when burning. This cone smells quite different than the Sataya sticks of the same fragrance. For me, this isn’t good, because I like the fragrance of the sticks. Just know that it might be different. As for the backflow action, that works just fine. The hole in the cone goes far up and the cone is fat in the middle section, giving you a longer “flow time”, which I found to be quite nice.

No scent
These don’t smell like the regular incense at all. The only thing I could smell was smoke . I usually love this brand but the back flow incense where a bust.

Don't think its authentic
They smell horrible. I returned them. Smelled like a big ashtray in my room. I used a backflow stand. Had to get rid of it. Couldn't get the smell out of it

Scent is far superior to generic cones
I ordered these specifically because this brand is my favorite and their nag champa regular incense is a staple in our home. The cheap backflow cones that you can get just about everywhere, never smell very good, in fact, they pretty much all smell the same, a typical "campfire" smell. These however, are a good representation of the Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa scent, although not quite as good. I guess the formulation for dhoop cones is a bit harder to saturate then their standard incense sticks. If you have just recently purchased a Blackford backflow incense burner, a couple things to be aware of:1. Great to look at, but backflow dhoop incense cones do burn kind of quickly, so purchasing a bulk box like this is probably a good idea.2. They do leave a slightly oily residue once they burn, so you'll need to wipe down your burner with a damp paper towel after each use.3. Once you burn down to the like the last quarter or so, the smell changes into a more "burnt" scent, which I personally dislike, so I usually dispose of it once that happens. All in all, I'm very pleased with these, and will continue to stick to these exclusively because their scent is SO much better than the cheap generic cones.

This stuff is NASTY!!!!
We usually burn this brand and variety of sticks so I expected the backflow cones to be wonderful. I was SOOOO wrong. I don't know what they did to this stuff but by the end, it smells like a super dirty old ashtray and the smell got into everything and lasted for DAYS. . . Literally days despite opening windows and trying to eliminate it with sprays and such. I wish I had tried it in time to return it and get my money back. We burn incense all the time so I have smelled hundreds of varieties, good and bad but never-ever have I experienced anything as bad as this. It's a huge disappointment as I would really love to find a nice backflow cone!!! Other brands just smelled "bad" but when the burn was done so was the smell. This is just unbelievably nasty. . .

My favorite scent in a backflow cone!
Love this scent and glad it's a back flower but hate the resin it leaves after burning. But thats what I have noticed about Backflow cones. Protect your furniture or what ever you place it on it will leave a mark.

Strong packaging smell. Good Cones
The package arrived smelling extremely strong like a floral shampoo smell. The box seemed to have had oil spilled onto it and all the card board was affected. The cones themselves were inside wax paper bags which was good. The cones while burning smell like Nag Champa and back flow very nicely. The cones I have burned last for a least 15 to 20 minutes. Cones will drip oil near the end of the burn.

Love Nag Champa, backflow is cool but insense was so thick
Packaging was a little overkill with double boxes and very thick paper. The backflow worked beautifully and the scent was pleasant at first but when it was done, the immediate area where it sat smelled like an ash tray. And a week later, it smells like a bon fire in that portion of the house. I suppose it lasted a while but I had to leave the room bc the air became so smoky and thick.
