Delmar's Standard Textbook of Electricity

There were a few little flaws in the book but nothing major. They were usually caught right away or my instructor would clarify/warn us about them. I was told not to worry too much about the awg section in the book because the standard of that is in the process of being updated. Overall its a great textbook. It reads well with pretty good illustrations to breakdown and explain things in figures. Every chapter has a summary/overview and practice problems/homework problems. Some answers to practice problems are in the back of the book to check a few answers. The glossary came in handy a few times and it also has pages of different equations/formulas in the back to help with solving circuits. I also like how it begins with safety. Safety first in this field.

First of all, I only found one typographical error in 1050 pages of reading. The colored illustrations are very helpful in understanding the concepts, which are well-described in words as well. This is probably one of the best designed textbooks I have every studied. There are plenty of practical examples of electrical problems that are solved and explained in the text. I can't imagine there being a better textbook on the subject than this superb work, now in its 5th perfected and updated edition.

Can't say enough good things about this book. I work in electrical maintenance and this book has given me crucial safety information when it comes to working with electricity. I would absolutely recommend this book to friends and coworkers or anybody that wants to know the basics of electricity.

Very good book and a very good read. If you are interested in learning about electricity, this book is a very good place to start. This book will teach you more than most textbooks out there.
