Joico Color Endure Violet Shampoo & Conditioner For Long Lasting Color

This is the absolute best sulfate free violet shampoo. I am allergic to sulfates and its hard to find good shampoo without it. Leave it on too long and your hair WILL be blue. lol I have had hair that ranged from white blonde to the current popular gray & this shampoo and conditioner has kept it from turning brassy. I swim twice a week in a heavily chlorinated pool and my hair is never brassy. I also use this twice a week. I leave it on for approximately 5 minutes but you have to adjust based on your needs. If for some reason you make your hair too blue just use some regular shampoo w/ baking soda mixed in and it will come out. Or wait a week and it will fade. Also, the shampoo does not affect darker hair colors. My roots and the front of my hair is black with a smoky blonde everywhere else and only the blonde is affected by the shampoo/conditioner. I have noticed that it will NOT remove brassiness from darker blonde colors.

This shampoo is so amazing! It keeps my hair a cool blonde and cancels out any “brass ones”. The pumps in the package were a pleasant surprise because large bottles can be bulky to dispense when turning over in the shower! The smell is sweet and the product leaves my hair soft! My biggest secret is applying to DRY hair for 15 minutes and then hopping in the shower to rinse it out! I see better results this way! Love joico! I am also pregnant and I haven’t dyed my hair in months! This is a life saver!

Our older daughter decided to go from naturally dark brown hair to - yikes - platinum blond, which typically doesn't happen or work well. The first pictures we've posted shows her before and after two rounds of bleaching. The third is after using Joico just once. As you can see from her holding our 2 year old (who has naturally-soft ashy blond Scandinavian-blond hair), it softened the brassiness a decent amount. The fourth is after the second usage of Joico; It has taken care of almost all of the yellowing and brassiness, leaving a pretty nice softer whitish blond color. The last picture is after a few weeks, when she decided to not deal with dark roots anymore and colored it black and blue. Ah, the joys and expenses of being the parent of a young, wild-hearted youth...

Not only is this a great purple shampoo, but it's just a great shampoo in general. Joico has litterally changed my life. It used to take me a solid 5 minutes to comb my hair after a shower WITH dentangler. I haven't touched my dentangler since I started using only Joico. I can comb my hair in seconds. It's so soft and smooth and doesn't break anymore. I can't recommend this enough. Your hair will thank you and it's not even that much more than a "decent" drug store shampoo!

I bought these as a slightly cheaper option to my normal purple shampoo and conditioner (Naissant Blonde Pearl shampoo, it's the best but more expensive!). I would say I like this version better than the other Joico Color Balance one I tried, but it's not quite as good as Naissant.Pros: It seems just as effective as my favorite brand the day of use and leaves a nice ash shade. It also doesn't dry my hair out as badly as other brands.Cons: It doesn't last...like...at all. I have thin hair, so not shampooing at least every other day is not an option for me. I use a color safe shampoo and this still washes right out after 1-2 washes. I feel like I have to use this 2-3 times a week to really make a difference between colorings. That's a lot of product for very temporary results. Boo.All in all, I will probably keep this on hand for those really sad color days when my hair needs a bump of love, but I am too lazy to tone yet.

I've used this violet shampoo for a good while, to maintain a white/silver/silver white hair color. It's so effective, convenient, and quick that I've stopped using my home made conditioner toner (regular conditioner plus semi permanent color).I use this shampoo once a week or less (I wash my hair 2-3 times a week). I have somewhat porous hair from bleaching, and my virgin hair was dark blond. I only have to leave it in for a couple of minutes. It always spreads evenly, and I love the scent so much. I finally tried the conditioner too, and it seems good. I've only used it two times so far.

Neither bottle comes with a pump as shown in the photo. The scent of the shampoo is fantastic but the purple in the shampoo actually left my hands purple. After numerous washes I was finally able to get my hands back to normal but my fingernails still have a tinge to them. This isn't a deal breaker as I can wash my hands with some Dawn to get rid of the color but it was a little shocking to look down and see my hands colored. I have used a few other violet shampoos and have not had the same experience. Another thing that I noticed with this shampoo verses other violet shampoos is that the lather stays purple even as I rinse it while others tend to turn white with scrubbing.

I ordered the small version since I have blonde hair to make sure that it wouldn't make my hair oily and greasy as some purple shampoos do. This does NOT. After I ran out of the small, I ordered this big daddy and its been perfect for my blonde hair. Smells great but not overpowering. Leaves my blonde hair looking beautiful. I recommend for sure!! This will last you months and months so you can't beat the price. If you have blonde hair, order! You wont be sorry you did!
