Works remarkably well! I have a heavy hitch assembly that incorporates connections for a trailer load leveling system, and the whole thing is a big, heavy and poorly balanced hunk of metal. Getting it installed on my pickup truck was always a pain - literally, a pain in my back. This device allows me to easily pick up the hitch assembly with one hand and guide it into the hitch receiver on the truck. It balances the load, making the whole process a lot easier. Highly recommended.

This tool is a great idea! Made a 2 handed job and one hand job no pun intended. it is simple but look at the instructions. You actually use it backwards until the hitch is in the receiver. Then you pivot it around for pin alignment. Note: Amazons Portland fulfillment center needs to get some training on how to pack things. This large tool along with a few other things were just tossed all together into a PAPER, large envelope. No packing material or anything! This should have been in a box! The envelope was completely torn all over the place and I was actually surprised that nothing had fallen out. What person would put large tools into a paper bag and ship them? Obviously someone that needs a new job and doesn't have a clue about proper materials management practices!

I bought this several years ago and use it every time I install or remove my heavy WDH hitch head. It balances the weight well, and I can carry the hitch head with one hand.

Bought for my husband for our heavy duty hitch. He thought it would be useless and of no value to assist. He was wrong and uses it every time to install and remove hitch. Game changer. He recommends it to others frequently. Have used it for a full year now and was a good buy.

I have a very heavy hitch and it was always a bit of a struggle to man handle it on and off the truck. This device (well constructed) makes the job much easier. Still a heavy lift, but much more controllable and no more grease on the hands. You won't regret buying this.

Excellent item that does exactly what it says on the tin. Holds the underside of the ball so no damage to the bearing face and is well balanced. I have a very heavy cast steel equalizer hitch made by Reece (15k lbs rated with 1500 lbs nose weight possible) and it make moving and fitting the hitch far easier. It lloks strongly made with a moulded plastic body and steel ball gripping plates. My only reservation is the price which for a very simple item is high, but it is worth the ease it allows you to lift the potentially very heavy and very dirty hitch.
