Worth the money, works perfect if you install it correctly.
This is honestly the best bike rack I have owned for the money. It does not wobble at all if you install it correctly, for those stating that it wobbles you MUST tighten the bolt that mounts to the reciver all the way down and it wont budge. I had to add an extension so i could put the tailgate on my truck down all the way but that is not yakimas fault.

Easy to Install and proved its design
My wife and I bought this in order to be able to take our bikes on a trip to the Outer Banks. The unit comes with an adapter already installed for quick mounting on an existing hitch mount. It also comes with a threaded bolt to fasten the hitch to your mount. I did not know this when I bought it, and accidentally ordered a lock bolt for the hitch which I did not need. With a ratchet set and wrench, I installed this in ten minutes. It comes with a cotterpin on the bolt just in case the threads fail. Then the second piece mounts easily on the bottom bar. The hitch has a quick release for tilting it down to allow access to the back of an SUV when unloaded. This is nice to have if you leave the hitch on while traveling, so that you can access the back of your SUV.We drove more than ten hours to the Outer Banks with two full-sized mountain bikes and two children's bikes (below 18" frames) mounted. We figured out quickly that we had to turn our backup camera to avoid automatic braking due to the obstruction it made, but this was easily done.Mounting the bikes is easy as long as you understand how to mount them in alternatively different directions with the stem and cross bar on one side and just the cross bar on the other. The rubber clips are a little difficult to fasten until you realize that if you simply pull them hard, they snap on.I also bought a bike cable lock to lock the bikes to the mount for times when we were stopped while traveling in order to prevent theft. We drove back over 10 hours and had no issues as well.Be sure to use all fasteners and know that the bikes with a frame below 18" were too small to fasten to the mount according to the design, so had to be fastened in an improvised manner. They made the trip safely, but you should be mindful of the issue.I highly recommend this hitch. It was cheaper than renting four bikes for the week, so it paid for itself.

Good rack but needs more stability
The rack is unstable so had to get a tow hitch tighter to secure it better.

Solid, Secure, and Easy to Use – Totally Worth It
I’m so glad I returned my original bike rack purchase and went with the Yakima Hitch Mount Tilting 4-Bike Rack. From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell it was built to last. It’s super easy to use right away—no complicated assembly or setup. Once installed, it doesn’t shimmy or shake at all, even on longer trips. I always make sure to tighten the secure bolt with a socket for that extra peace of mind, but honestly, this thing doesn’t budge. It’s way lighter and easier to handle than the first rack I bought, and I love how simple it is to tilt and access the trunk when needed. Definitely a game-changer for transporting bikes!

Works great with my Tesla hitch on Model Y . Adult Medium and X-Large gravel bikes
Used with my Tesla hitch (2”) standard Tesla receiver.Easy install. More than adequate clearance from bumper and hatch . Used to carry to gravel bikes . Very well built. Bikes stay secure. No wobble or rattles from the rack or bikes . Use Velcro straps to secure bike wheels front and back. Bikes have Great ground clearance . A little heavy to install and remove . Not sure my wife could manage alone .

Very heavy and bulky; extremely high restocking fee if returned $100+
This item is very heavy. I could not lift it myself to install it into the hitch of my car. When I returned the product >$100 restocking fee was applied. All parts were intact except the bolt head which was black, the paint scraped off when I was trying to tighten the bolt so the company charged me $100.

Aesthetics good but to much motion between lower pivot and locking pin.
- Attachment to 2” hitch is secure without movement.- Good looking bike rack.- The Pivot at base of rack to locking pin has a lot of free motion so the bicycles can move around a lot. Clear visible motion at the pin and the pivot. I don’t understand level of motion. This is why I plan to return it.- The attachment scheme of bicycles to rack is not versatile. In my opinion, the manufacturer should explicitly state the bicycles that work with this rack (especially helpful for those who have not bought a bicycle rack for awhile).- Easy to assemble.- Pivot feature function (beyonds excessive motion) is good.- I give it 3 stars because of the price, but for me this is a non-starter because of the motion.
