A vegan but not healthy cookbook, certainly not suited for an American audience, recipes are heavy on ingredients like white flour, Panko, ketchup, vegan margarine, or seem unlikely to succeed like Seared watermelon. Also way too many full page portraits of the author (I lost count at 10) , comes across as arrogant. Some nice ideas but not well guided and poorly edited.

A must-have, even for non-vegans
Yes, the pictures (for every recipe!) are beautiful. I didn't expect anything else from Gaz, as I regularly watch his YouTube videos, which are shot beautifully too.So what was I surprised by? The labeling. Knowing which recipes are great for batch-cooking and meal-prep is awesome. I'm a grad student and between teaching, research, writing, and trying to keep up meeting friends, I love to meal-prep on the weekend. While I enjoy cooking, I like having a lunch I can pack and I don't always have time at night to cook. And even if I feel like it, I am sure his 15-minute meals will come in handy. For anyone that is busy, this is a good cookbook. It is not packed full of recipes that take at least an hour to get on the table.Another thing I loved when I noticed it: The boldly printed explanations to some ingredients people might not know, especially when they aren't vegan, like liquid smoke or Kala Namak. Sometimes he also printed little tips in bold, which I am sure I will appreciate too.I did not cook every single recipe in the book - it just came out, and it will probably be a while until I have - but the ones I have tried have been delicious. It was hard to decide what to even cook and I can't wait to work my way through the recipes. And for any other Curry lover out there: There is a whole chapter for us! From reading, the entire book is delicious.Long story short, best self-isolation buy. And I can't wait to buy a physical copy once I am done moving. And while I am a vegan, I do think this book is appropriate for non-vegans that want a little bit more versatility in their plant-based dishes. Or that need a little bit of convincing that vegan food is not boring. I will personally buy this book for my parents and send it to them. A little friendly nudge to make the switch.

Aesthetically pleasing!
Background:I recently started following Gaz on YouTube maybe two weeks ago. I had previously gone vegan for a couple of months due to a film I can’t name at the moment. It was like a 21 day vegan challenge. One year I did the 21 days and at that time due to poor planning I was starving myself and depleting myself of b12. The following year I became vegan again for 3-6 months and with planning I had nice meals, no hunger, and a vegan b12 supplement. I would stop my diet due to my love for bacon and occasional craving of sweets. I lived in the college dorms and couldn’t sustain my diet on my own. I’ve always loved veggies and unless I’m in the kitchen cooling them up, I don’t get enough in my diet. I found Gaz through Pickuplimes collab! I never knew vegan you tubers like the both of them existed! Since then I’ve been getting inspired from their recipes !Review:The book is beautifully made and I can tell Gaz put a lot of love into making the book through the use of colors and plating and beautiful photographs. It’s both well organized and aesthetically pleasing! I look forward to making more of his recipes ! The only possible con is the binding. I fear that the book may come apart with wear and tear but I’ll update in a month or so!If you love international food, the plate method, or a vegan diet this book is for you! Thanks Gaz! :)

Some of the best WFPB/Vegan food I've ever prepared
I've prepared 7 of the recipes in Plants-Only Kitchen and they have all been outstanding, full of flavor and a dining quality experience. I just made the "Seared Watermelon 'Tuna' Salad" last night it was truly amazing, everyone could not believe the dish was prepared with watermelon, it had the texture of Tuna and the sauce was fantastic. The "Jerk Jackfruit with Rice & Peas" was another outstanding dish. I've watched Gaz on YouTube for about 6 months now, so I knew the style of his cooking. I know he markets this book as more accessible than his previous books, which I don't own, and I agree from an ingredient viewpoint you should be able to find what you need but all of the recipes I've prepared take a fair amount of prep time. It always looks quick in YouTube time when you have the prep all done but be prepared to have some dirty dishes and to spend some time in the kitchen - but the results are so worth it. Some of the Internet WFPB/Vegan recipes you find can end up wasting a lot of time and money with mediocre results. Spending a bit on recipes that are from a trained chef and tests can be worth the extra money for the book. Highly recommend this book for anyone, even non WFPB or Vegan's as the results are great and restaurant quality. But as a Vegan this is a great addition to my skills in preparing plants only food. Highly recommend.

Superb quality!!
I follow Gaz on YouTube and everything he cooks I want to try seriously!! So when I heard he had a new book Plant's Only Kitchen with simple, delicious healthy recipes, I knew I had to purchase. For starters the quality of the book is superb!! My brother saw the book and was skimming trough pages and asked was this book pricey because it's looks like it was. When I told him the price he was shocked! I am thrilled with book and love the less than 15 min breakfast recipes. It contains a variety of recipes from curries, stews, soups and even delicious desserts all vegan recipes!! Also appreciate the icons next to each recipe so you know which recipes are Batch Cooking, Meal Prep, Gluten free, 15 min or One Pot Meal. The only thing I wish was different is the size of font I wear eyeglasses so bigger font would have been highly appreciated. Other than that I'm extremely happy with the book and will try to replicate as many recipes as I can. Highly recommend you purchase believe me you won't regret it. I'm new to vegan eating but Gaz book makes it look simple, delicious and very colorful recipes packed with nutrients and flavors!

Simple Vegan Recipes!!
A lot of people are put off by some vegan cookbooks as the recipes can be complicated and have crazy and hard to find ingredients in them. That is NOT THE CASE here!!You can tell that Gaz has worked so hard to make his recipes easy to follow and easy to source recipes for. I'm a very advanced cook so his previous two books have done me well as I love to do complex and interesting things but I also need easy recipes I can make on my off days or when I don't want to be in the kitchen for too long. This book is perfect for that!I've had the book for 24 hours and I've already made the Simple Spanish One Pot Stew which was DELICIOUS!!

The best cookbook out there, and it's vegan!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is by far his best book yet! Every recipe is so easy to follow, there is a picture reference for each recipe, and those pictures are so vibrant and clear. All of the dishes that I have made from this book so far have turned out so well. They are delicious and a real hit with the non-vegans too. A truly fantastic book, as the reader you can really see that a lot of love and hard work has gone into this book. I love it!

LOVE!
What a stunning book! The book is vibrant, meticulously planned + for anyone who enjoys food. So so many good recipes with stunning photos.I love the extra info with each recipe; the difficulty rating, the time, ‘to avoid oil do this...’ etc, really helpful. Sauces; I struggle to find simple sauces but Gaz’s are simple and delicious to add to any salad.

My first Vegan Book
I bought the kindle version. Easy to navigate and to find recipes. There are references to other recipes during one already e.g. Crispy fried lemon tofu, Gaz references the mushroom prawn toast as one of the options you can serve the tofu with. Of course if you click it, it will take you too that recipe (hope that made sense).I have already made a recipe from Gazs Youtube channel, the Jamaican Curry (sooo good) but to have all the plant based recipes (which i prefer) in one place and not have to go searching is my kind of organisation. So glad I got this book. Cant wait to work through it. Ive only been Vegan since the beginning of 2020 and I must say that its been the easiest transition and fun as I feel like im relearning about food. To know i can still enjoy my food especially caribbean food vegan style and with flavours. Oh my!
