Great book!!
I love this book as it starts at a very easy stage and step-by-step moves up to higher numbers. My 4 year old loves it!

Great learning books
Our son who's 4 loves these workbooks. I bought these for him to work through during the summer to keep his brain sharp. I will have to buy more bc he has already went through them and he has 2 more weeks of school.

To be honest I don't like this one compared to the preK series
To be honest I don't like this one compared to the preK series. I have a 5 yr to be kid and I introduced this book to him. This one is lacking of practice area on each page and not very practical. As the degree of difficulties is higher for a preschooler, more practice area and memory stuff should be introduced to this book.

Great for letter ID
This is great for letter identification/formation and beginning sound blending. I wish it had more sound blending activities. My 3 year old daughter finished it in no time and loved it.

they are great for repeating a skill and mastering
My little one loves these books. they are great for repeating a skill and mastering. just a few minutes a day and I have to tell her time to stop. she wants to keep going, but they really need the 10 minute a day shorter sessions with these books.

Kinder Teacher Recommends!
I bought this book along with the math version to help keep my 4 year-old's skills sharp over the summer. I have found the Kumon line to be very sequential in its practice, and the usage of bright colors and starting points is helpful for my child. This book focuses specifically on the proper formation of letters (hence, the using of starting points and arrows), includes many ABC dot-to-dots for sequencing, and has a short section of consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) word practice and blending at the end. Another great book from Kumon, that this Kindergarten teacher recommends!

A Good Beginning Guide
My 4 year old knows what sounds each letter makes and he knows how to write them all. This was at first a big review of both of those things. Near the very end of the book is when they start learning how to write words and i think this is a good way to begin a child to do it, but don't solely go from this book. Teach sounds separately as well. It is a good book regardless and if you use it as extra "homework" sheets, then it is right on! There is also a certificate you can use to get your child excited about completing the book. I didn't use this when I taught my older son, but it would have been a nice addition to his curriculum as well.

Too easy
A little too easy for my 4.5 year old. If your child has been taught well in preschool this may be too easy for those entering kindergarten.

Poorly done, don't waste your money
This book is LOWER than Pre-K level. If your child recognizes circles, get something else. My son is 4 years old and this book is too easy for him. I recommend you buy "Math Readiness K-1" and "Sequencing & Memory". If your child needs to learn how to write numbers and shapes buy "Brain Quest Write & Erase Set: Numbers" and "Brain Quest Write & Erase Set: Shapes" or any wipe erase book, before buying any pre-math books.
