Great low profile camping hatchet
Great little low profile no frills camping hatchet. Feels good in the hand and has held up well over the years.

Chops with One swing! Sharp and strong!
Awesome small ax. Handle is great. Weight is heavy and chopped my real yard 1/4"- 3/8" thick branches from weed that was growing into a tree. All the branches took one chop. I couldn't believe how well it chopped it down. I was done in 15 min. I normally use an electrical cutter. This was so much easier. I have no doubt this will work on light branches in the field. If anything, it works great for landscape maintenance and that along makes this tool worthy of purchase! Very sharp from manufacturer but I sharpened it even more after I wasfi iahed. Can't wait to see what else it does!!

Versatile, holds its edge, lightweight.
I bought this axe for light usage around a campfire. I like its design and light weight. Its best use is making kindling, shaving flat surfaces to prepare for carving and meat cutting. It comes sharp from the factory, but I have honed it to a finer edge. It holds its edge surprisingly well, and I have found it quite versatile within a range of uses.

Good camp, hiking hatchet
I just spent a week camping in the hills of North west Arkansas, and this was a handy little tool. I used it to split some fair sized short pieces of fire wood. Just use it like wedge, and hit the top of the hatchet with a piece of wood or rock.and it will work ok. I cut a 6 ft pole to use as a walking stick, and I cut the small limbs and peeled the bark off and I still have not touched up the edge yet. This would work well for a lot of things if you had to spend some time away in hills or desert. Maybe I just got one made on a Monday.

Well worth it!
This Hatchet is well worth the price, if its out of stock its worth waiting for! Its great for backpacking, camping, etc. Its extremely light at 13 ounces and razor sharp. You might think that being so light it wouldn't work very well but in fact it makes short work of most tasks. The blade on this is so sharp you will actually cut your sheath if your not careful. I've seen some comments about it dulling quickly but I have not found this to be the case. After using it several times it still has a very nice edge. This is the ONLY hatchet you will ever need!

Decent hatchet, poor sheath
This hatchet is super small and lightweight, so be warned. If you don't want to lug around a heavy hatchet while backpacking, this is a huge plus. However, don't expect to be splitting big oak logs with this thing. It will split kindling and chop small branches, and that's about it. If that's what you are looking for, this works great. It is actually made pretty well for what it is. Makes a good gift for a Boy Scout, by the way. The sheath fell apart on the first day of use due to terrible design. The hatchet blade rests against the threads that hold the two halves together, cutting them instantly. So toss the sheath, and keep the hatchet for light work.

Best little bag hatchet
Good strong well built item. Compact and very sharp. Good for BOB bag. Very light weight. Great hatchet for trimming or small trees. Not good for larger pieces of wood because of being so light but that's the trade off such a good compact hatchet.

GREAT
Not too heavy for ultra-lite camping, not too lite to make kindling or lite chopping. Ya, I wouldn't try making a log cabin with it, but it came with a nice edge to it (no sharpening) and the compact size (short handle) makes it easy to pack. My hands are average size, I suppose, and fits well in my hand and is made of hard rubber, although I don't know if I would go so far as to say it's "non-slip". All-in-all, pleasantly surprised for something coming from China!
