ALPHA INDUSTRIES MA1 Flying Jacket

I have wanted one of these jackets for years, finally took the plunge and I'm very pleased with it. It is warm but if the weather improves you can adjust the zip to increase ventilation. The fabric has a real quality feel and if it rains the droplets bead up rather than soaking in.It is an aviators jacket and I have subjected it to the rigours of a flight test, it is not so bulky that it is uncomfortable to wear in an aeroplane cockpit, and it remains comfortable with the seat belts done up. On open & exposed airfields it is easily capable of keeping the cold out.It is also comfortable when getting the plane out of the hanger, doing the preflight and washing it down afterwards.It works just as well in the car.And it looks so darned great!

The pictures don't do this jacket justice. Just buy it! I'm 5'11 and of athletic build and would normally go for a 2XL for a bomber jacket. However I opted to go for an XL with this jacket and I'm glad I did. XL is the perfect fit for my size and build. I bought this as a substitute for a bomber I was intending to get at 5 times the price but had sold out. I'm very very happy with this purchase. Top quality build and material.

I bought an XXL as I wanted a nice baggy look. It arrived from Germany within a week but was mahoosive so regrettably I had to send it back. I'm normally an XL and actually the design of the MA-1 is on the baggy side anyway so an XL or even an L would probably have been OK. I'm now going to the Flightstore shop near Huddersfield who stock a large quantity of these genuine jackets and style variations so I can try before I buy. It's worth shopping around if you're looking for a genuine Alpha Industries flight jacket as there's quite a price difference.

The Alpha Industries MA 1 Jacket XL fits exactly as it states with the quality of the garment upholding the name of Alpha Industries. I've been out in both wind and rain in the jacket and it withstands both very well especially with the wind guard which runs down the length of the front zip fastening. All in all if your looking for a jacket which is good in all weathers and also looks very fashionable then this is the garment for you

This is the original AA MA-1 and is superb. Had to drop a size from large (which I have in TT version of this jacket) to a medium as was too baggy in the back.Overall a great look from this classic jacket!

I brought one of these back in 1980, this one not quite the same quality, but nothing is now!! But it is still a very warm jacket, but very light, really good value

Been putting off buying one for ages. Glad I bit the bullet.Be sure to buy the genuine Alpha one like this....don't go for the cheaper knock-offs.Great fitGreat styling.Nothing not to like.

Brilliant original MA1:Fits perfect, really well made .I have a Relco copy but you can certainly tell the difference in manufacturing quality the Alpha is top class fits nice and snug . The zip is high quality also and sturdy in make . Most of all the price is exceptional
