Dakine Carry On Roller 42L - Carbon, One Size

Purchased this for the sole purpose of taking a two week trip to Africa. I carried it on to every flight as one of my two pieces of luggage. Plenty of room and it seems very durable.

Wanted something that would work with United as well as other US carriers for carry-on. This was great because it is just the right dimensions and it does not have the 4 giant rollers on the bottom. Having the rollers is nice but you give up so much storage since they are technically included in the height. The more traditional two wheels is less convenient when rolling but gives a few each liters of room. Fit in the United overhead bins just fine, even lying on its sides.Not sure about all of the complaints of it not standing on its own. Worked great for me even with things on top of it - see the picture.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great bag with very low profile wheels which means a bigger interior than bags with the same exterior dimensions. As someone who has lost a lot of wheels and feet to the airline, the low profile both of these items makes me hope that they will stay intact longer. The dimensions in the product listing are incorrect (thankfully!)- the actual dimensions are 21.5" x 14.24" x 9". While the width seems as though it would be too wide for some carriers (where 14" is started as a max width), if you are on an airline like Delta, they care about the linear total of the bag. This bag fits in at under 45 in so will be allowed in carry on.So far, this bag seems very well built with reinforced areas around the wheels and back edge.

Great carry on bag - so far took it to Europe and another trip in the US - can be stuffed fuller if need be and it handles it fine. My 6 year old carried it around Europe and did great. Only feedback is 1) inside, both sides could have fabric zippers to keep things in place (one side does). 2) a separate smaller pocket integrated on or in the interior of the front pocket would be nice - my other Dakine bag has both and it's perfect.

The quality of the suitcase is good and it provides useful pockets for organization. Dimensions fit for TSA carry-on.

This bag is perfect for weekend or just a few days travel. It has a laptop sleeve in the front pocket and lots of room on the inside to pack your attire.

Love dakine, have so many of their products and for years. Takes a lot to damage them. For sizing, this is an ideal carry on. Not meant for a ton of clothes and shoes, you will need to check a bag for that. Will always buy Dakine.
