CapezioGirls' Classic Long Sleeve Leotard

Runs small but good quality

I ordered both the Capezio Long Sleeve Leotard and Low Rise Ankle Pant in Intermediate (6-8) for my 4 1/2 yr. old daughter, who is 43.5 in. tall (about 85th percentile) and 42 lbs. (about 75th percentile). (So, she's tall and has an average to slim build.) The sleeves on the leotard are a little long (just over her wrists) and the pants are just a little long as well, but both are wearable now and will probably fit for the next year or more. I washed both according to directions (cold, delicate cycle with like colors, line dry) and didn't notice any shrinkage. Both are made of a substantial weight fabric, and the pink leotard had a nude fabric lining in the front. My daughter wore both to her gymnastics class and was comfortable and happy in them. The black pants seem to pick up a lot of lint, but that's easy to remove with a sticky roller.

My daughter needed an undergarment for a theater performance, because her costume was fully sequined and itchy. This fit perfectly, and was thick enough to protect her arms, but not so thick that it was hot. She normally wears a 10, and I purchased the large in this. It fit well. She is a little smaller, so if your kiddo is a bigger 10, I would size up.

Very nice fabric. Well made. Does not bunch or "crawl". Fits true to size. Washes well. This is a much better quality than the cotton variety I am replacing. I would recommend it. * One caution is that we have two cats and my daughter came home from dance and was loving on the cat and was subsequently covered in cat fur! This fabric seems to be a MAGNET for cat hair! Now I know to take it off as soon as she comes through the door so I won't have to spend 15 minutes lint rolling!!

We gave this leotard to our 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas and she wanted to wear it for 3 days in a row! It’s definitely all cotton, so comfortable , and the quality is excellent.

Great leo. Runs a little small.

Ordered this item as part of my 2.5 year old's Halloween costume. It took longer than expected to arrive, and was SO SMALL, leaving me in a scramble to find a size up in time for the holiday. Overall, it is well made and not see through at all, but my 30 pound, 37 in tall daughter was yelling "too tight!" as soon as I got it on her. When you hold it up it looks like it would comfortably fit a 1 year old, maybe 18 months. The leg holes were very tight and cut into my daughters little chubby thighs. I would think that if your child is very petite for their age, or skinny mini then this would work. I ended up visiting our local dance supply store and purchased the same leotard a size up in a child small. Luckily, Capezio allowed me a full refund without having to send the item back in, which was really convenient and allowed me to instantly apply my refund to the purchase of a leotard that fit. Minus the headache of having to hunt down a child size small, Capezio makes high quality dancewear, and provides excellent customer service. Recieved my refund within 24 hours!

This leotard is great for my daughters dance class. It washes well and is true to size. I would definitely buy again.
