Toyota of Dashcams
I've been using the Venture N4 3CH Dashcam for several years now, and it's consistently proven to be a reliable and invaluable addition to my vehicles. In fact, I've purchased it twice, equipping multiple cars with this excellent device. It has been spending its life in the Northeast Coast facing all kinds of temperature conditions from cooking in the sun down the shore to near below zero winters. The standout feature is undoubtedly its three-channel simultaneous recording capability, providing comprehensive coverage of the road ahead, the interior cabin, and the rear.Video quality is consistently impressive across all three channels. The clarity is excellent, allowing for detailed capture of license plates and other crucial details. Even the cabin-facing night vision camera performs remarkably well, providing clear recordings even in low-light to pitch black conditions. For anyone considering this dashcam, I strongly recommend investing in the GPS mount. This unlocks the full potential of the device, providing accurate speed and location data that has proven incredibly useful in documenting unexpected events. The Venture N4's user interface is simple and intuitive. Navigating menus and reviewing footage is a breeze, making it easy to manage and utilize the dashcam's features.Over the years, this dashcam has been a reliable source of evidence in several situations. Its consistent performance and comprehensive coverage have made it an indispensable tool for my daily driving. If you're looking for a dependable and feature-rich triple-channel dashcam, the Venture N4 is a solid investment.

Can take a while to install, set up and learn, but definitely worth the effort
EDIT [much later): South Florida's strong sun / heat / humidity can be brutal - for example, car batteries die sooner due to heat-induced chemical exhaustion. That said, had purchased the GPS suction base as an add-on to the N4. Well worth it. The GPS unit died after 14 months on a minivan windshield, which really did not surprise me [see previous paragraph]What DID pleasantly surprise me is that Vantrue's Customer Service people replaced the GPS base - out of warranty - at no charge. And so, in my case, quite happy with main N4+GPS combo, and even happier with their support of their product. KUDOS.Original review:Used in a full-size Chrysler minivan. A tougher install than (say) a sedan.Added the GPS mount - major improvement in usefulness, adding accurate location and speed to results.Main pain points are running the power cable to cigarette outlet, and rear camera cable, the latter requiring some thinking/planning to run to rear of van, through the roof liner, using existing flexible rubber conduit [hose?] that connects body of van to rear hatch and mounting rear camera very high on rear hatch glass, inside. (The rear of a minivan gets dirty quickly - I did not want to have to clean camera lens repeatedly and/or drill hole[s] to get to an outside mount location... just sayin')TIPS:1) pay attention to where the wipers sweep - you want to pick install location[s] that stay reasonably clear with weather.2) Figure where you'll install rear camera first, figure out what you need, length-wise, at rear of your vehicle [leave a bit of slack] and then work your way forward to front. Odds are good that you'll end up with extra cable at front, which allows you to change your mind about main unit's location...Main unit itself was finally installed so that base hides behind rear view mirror, main unit visible just below mirror, keeping install neat [important for domestic tranquility] and minimizing view obstruction.Already had a multi-outlet cigarette lighter power supply, so I don't use their supplied P/S. And am using my own SanDisk 128GB microSD (Amazon SKU B07NY23WBG], with no issues.Image quality in default 4K Front/1080 interior & rear is great, with the excellent Sony CCD.Realize that the video is shot at 30 frames per second, so there WILL be some loss of image sharpness at 60 mph and above. This is a compromise of clarity vs. file sizes, as 60fps would mean much bigger files, less available useful storage on microSD, etc.Small screen on unit makes it really only useful for quick recording review... BUT using laptop with larger external monitor, tradeoff is acceptable.Final point: this is a fairly complex device - do not expect to figure out the manual content, controls and settings right away, until you've lived with unit for a while, reviewed recordings, etc....Overall rating: Excellent, with warning that there's a learning curve...

My 3rd Vantrue Dashcam, Very Happy With It
This is my third Vantrue dashcam so I am very familiar with this brand. I’ve been using the N2 Pro for several years but needed another one and Vantrue has been fairly reliable compared to other brands I’ve bought. I will say first of all that their customer service is definitely better than most other companies so that is one reason why I like this brand. They tend to stand by the product (even after the supposed warranty period). So take this into account when buying a dashcam, especially if you are paying several hundreds of $. Vantrue actually responds fairly quickly to any issues with their dashcams (I’ve had 2 small matters come up over the past 4-5 years only). So after looking around I opted for this 3 channel dashcam. The suction mount is very similar to my N2 Pro and when it is really hot, it falls off. I have had to gently re-wet the suction mount a few times already and have done it a number of times with my N2 Pro. But for the most part it suctions all right. Installation is very easy with 3M tape for mounting, no problems. The video quality is very good! If you want the 4K you’ll need to run the front cam by itself but even doing the 1440 is totally fine. The videos are MP4 format so that is handy and easy and “events” get stored in a separate folder to locate easily. All cameras have good quality (the front is the best of course). The mic quality is outstanding and the LCD screen is fairly large for something like this. This dash cam does not have bluetooth or wifi access but honestly I have found wireless access a chore and slow. I prefer to use the microSD card anyway and just view files or events on my laptop with the card. It’s just faster and you don’t have to deal with laggy processing. As for GPS tracking you need to get a separate (not included) mount and use 3M tape (no suction). If you want to have a more permanent parking mode you will want to buy a hardwire kit or use a kind of portable power bank. These things only cost about $15 these days so it isn’t bad at all.Overall I give this N4 3 channel dashcam 5 stars because the company is very good and the quality of the cameras is excellent and for the ease of use. Going through all the settings is intuitive and easy and you can have this thing setup in no time and on the road. It’s a really good dashcam overall and you can’t beat 3 channels (3 cameras). I wanted to give it 4.5 stars but just rounded up to 5 stars.
