Effective for a healthy gut!
I am fairly convinced that Florastor helps with consistent digestion and helps with certain stomach bug prevention. My only complaint is the sweetener that this uses. I had read another review about it making the child hyper, and checked the box to see a seemingly small amount of fructose listed. However, upon a little investigation, I found that this amount of "fructose" is a decent amount, so perhaps there was something to that reviewer's note. I watched my son and did find that when taken too close to bedtime, he did seem to be pretty high strung when he should be winding down. Taking it a few hours beforehand seem to alleviate the situation. Alternatively, one Florastor adult capsule can be broken and mixed in with a liquid for kids to take and have the exact same amount of the active ingredient (minus the "taste good" part) as the kid's packets. In any case, the type of probiotic is very effective, so we will continue to use in one form or another.

Just so good
I could never understand why doctors in the US prescribe antibiotics without probiotics to go with it. Where i come from we alsways take probiotics while taking any antibiotics to not destroy your gut flora. This is such a great probiotic. My 2 year old had such bad tummy issues after taking a course of strong antibiotics and florastor was a life saver. I had to give her two full packs to fix what the meds done to her little tummy. But it works like magic. Currently giving it to her again with antibiotics. It's great.

Strong and effective, tasty
This stuff works, period. OK everyone is different and has different existing flora and different intestinal needs and responses, but I tried just about everything in the drug store and none of it did ANYTHING. The three things that I use daily to combat a low-flora condition due to a previous course of strong antibiotics are: [1] Florastor Kids (tasty, has the same strength as the pills, and why swallow pills if you don't have to?) [2] VSL#3 (again, no pills, great strength) [3] Digestive Advantage Daily Probiotic. I alternate them throughout the day every couple hours, and they keep my intestines functioning as they should. Like I said, none of the other products I've tried helped in any way, these three all work in their own way and complement each other for a well rounded spectrum of flora that does the job.

Great product for baby recommended by GI Specialist
My daughter (10 months) is on medication for her kidneys everyday so i was worried about her natural flora being destroyed by the antibiotics. She also was having trouble with constipation. I have been giving her 1/3 of a pack everyday and it have really helped to keep her regular. The sweet taste mixes into her food makes giving it to her very easy. I dont recommend mixing it with formula because it does alter the taste. I contacted the company and you can also use the regular florastor if you dont want to use the flavored one. Both products are made of the same ingredients the kids version just has added sweet taste. My Pediatric GI recommended it and I have been very pleased with the product just wish it wasnt so expensive!

A+ Product!
My daughter had a terrible, terrible stomach bug last year and our dr told us to give this a shot. Well, let me just say that it is a life saver! She stopped having loose bm's constantly and became completely 'regular' again! It was amazing! We keep it on hand and if she starts to show signs of a tummy bug or has to take a harsh antibiotic (Omnicef, Augmentin, Etc) we give it to her once a day and she continues to have regular bm's and no stomach issues. We've been fans of Florastor Kids for a year now and I don't know how we got by without it. I absolutely, positively recommend this product!!

Sticky dirty package and short shelf life
The package as if was dropped in some kind of liquid, the back of package feels stick and looks dirty. Mind you inside are paper wrapped powder medicine. I have not opened it because I want to return it. I am not sure if they are affected by the liquid or not. Also, the expiration date is Dec 2017, today is already April, has very short shelf life. I only give to my kids when we are on oversea vacation for preventive care. So if I use once, the half of them going to be expired the second time I need them. I want to return it however I saw "this item can not be returned" on the order list. Not happy about this.

Best probiotic we've found for toddler
This worked significantly better than other probiotics we tried. Before my son's ear surgery we were on non-stop antibiotics, which wreaked havoc on my son's belly. We tried a number of other probiotics and he was still having terribly loose stool and even a yeast infection. Our pediatrician recommended Florastor and immediately we saw results. Much better stools and no return of the yeast infection (once treated with appropriate creams). I felt so guilty that we hadn't found this sooner!

Product great. Fulfillment questionable.
Love this product. But the Amazon fulfillment is concerning. It was placed on my porch and I picked it up within 30 seconds. It was hot. It's a healthcare product. I would suspect it should be shipped in a more temperature controlled way. In the past it was fulfilled from another party and the packaging was more insulating.
