Very sturdy but rectangular slots too large for American standard wood sizes.
I like how extremely sturdy the metal and welds are on these brackets. Some words to the wise:1. 4x4’ don’t fit tight, but they don’t have to. Insert 4x4s deep into socket, prior to screwing 4x4s in place screw a 2x4 in place on one leg o out 3.5 ft from top, then pound 3/8s rerod (18” lg) into ground about a foot from the bottom of 4x4 on same side. Now have someone push the bottom legs apart forcefully while you pound another re-rod near bottom of other leg. This will stabilize legs in place so you can screw other end of 2x4 to other leg. Now secure the tops of 4x4s into brackets), use weather resistant shims where needed so metal firm to shim prior to setting screws as needed.2. For top beam place 2-2x6x 8’ ( or longer if desired) together after using hood size bead of exterior construction glue, then nail with galvanized nails ( 3 1/2” long) every foot along board. Once you slide into each side of brackets make sure beam fits evenly along bottom of bracket, then set screws in place. There are 4 screws on one side; absolutely no need to use any screws on other side ( other side has 1/2” hollow space; if you put screws on this side they will fight against screws on the other side, so don’t do it)

Very easy to work with! Very very solid!
My kids couldn’t be more happy with their swingset. My wife and had this bolted together and up and running in about an hour. Product appears very sturdy. I’m 6’, 1” and 230 lbs and I’ve tried to literally pull this down and it didn’t budge! I’m confident my children won’t be able to either so I’m not worried about it accidentally tumbling over.Glad I bought this and built my own. That way the kids got to pick out their favorite thing to ride on.

Great brackets, super sturdy, well worth the $$
I wish I wouldve gotten these sooner. They are easy to use. Made a hammock stand with them. What I used:2x6x12 for the top4x4x8 (qty 4) for the legs1/4" drill bit to predrill the lag bolt holesIncluded hardwareAssembly:1) lay 4x6 on ground flat2) put brackets on each end3) make sure brackets are flush at each end and the legs are FACING OUTWARDS4) start on one side, drill 1 hole, insert bolt5) drill remaining holes now that the bracket wont move6) insert bolts7) do other side8) insert all four 4x4 legs with them facing the sky. Have one person hold the assembly from toppling. Make sure you allow the posts to naturally fall and apread outwards in the brackets BEFORE you drill9) drill holes, insert bolts and youre done!

Sturdy, easy install
These are sturdy brackets and the swingset built is solid. The beams used fit well and tightly. The bolts (screws, whatever they are) provided were not sturdy. 2 snapped during the build, even with predrilled holes.Aside from that issue, would recommend this product to others.

What I was hoping for.
I did do some searching for the right type of Heavy Duty Swing Set Brackets and I found the right ones as far as I'm concerned with these. I built this for our soon to be 2 years old Granddaughter April 26th this year. I feel that I have built her a swing set that will last longer than I will be here then some. I liked that they did include 3 inch Lag Bolts but I knew to pre-drill the holes with a 1/4 inch drill bit and everything went smoothly as planned but do pre-drill for sure. They are thick metal with welds done right, their not just spot welded here and there it's solid welds so nothing will come apart and break with your child or grandchild. I'll give them 5 Stars for sure and nicely painted to boot all I got to do now is get out the green paint to paint the bolt heads so not to rust. I'm planning to finish off the end of the swing set with a slide and cover over it. For me buying all of what I got to build this with with wood I'm still under $500. dollars. The Swing Brackets weren't but like $45, dollars and their Very Heavy Duty to hold 2500 pounds each and they swing real smooth and make no noise. But the set up I have built will last unlike the sets you buy online that come with wood and all, they are Cheap people! You go this route and you won't be sorry one bit after you see them and put it together your child will love you for it. I feel really safe for our Granddaughter knowing it won't fall apart ever!!!

Great swing set brackets!
I normally build everything myself, but for the price, I couldn’t pass it up. When I received the brackets, it came with just enough lag bolts and washers. The brackets were over sized for 4x4s and 4x6, so assembly was a breeze. Would certainly recommend this to anyone!
