Four Favorite Tools: Fantastic Tools Selected by 150 Notable Creators

I bought this book because I love Cool Tools and the previous Cool Tools book was one of my favorites of all time. This is sort of a condense follow-up to that, with 4 tool choices from a bunch of public features. The print quality of the book is OK though there is a very low-budget, self-printed vibe to it.Issues:Frequently people choose their own tool/project as a 5th item, which not only rubs me the wrong way -- it's almost an advertisement in the book -- but the name of the book is 4 Favorite Tools! Most than a few people recommend their own book, which is a a stretch to cool it a tool. Maybe a learning tool? Someone even recommended their own novel, which is just too far for me.Unfortunately, many of the tools (maybe 15% of the book) doesn't review tools, but websites! This really takes away from the book because the point, for me, is to discover cool physical tools, not someone's list of online bookmarks.Disappointing effort despite the great team behind it and great previous releases from the KK/Cool Tools team.

Interesting material, consistent with their brand, but the B&W edition I got is poorly printed. It is missing the first 8 pages and front material. Printing on every other page starts right at the top of the page and may truncate some of the text.

Terrific book. Ideal present to give to the "gadget" minded in your family.

This collection pays off in the browsing; every page is likely to show you something clever you've never seen before, and inspire lots of clever ideas about how you might be able to do your own work, better.

I enjoyed flipping through and learning about people I admire and the tools they like. "Tools" is such a broad category, and this book explores that breadth. This would be a great gift for people in your life who use tools!
