Let me just say, don’t just take my word for it (do a patch test!!). I have a severe allergy to hair dye, and sadly haven’t been able to dye my hair in 7 years. Last time I used box dye on my hair I went to the ER! I wasn’t sure which ingredient I was allergic to, but I knew it wasn’t ammonia since I’ve used ammonia free and still had a reaction (had a feeling it was PPD i was allergic to). Let me just say, I was almost in tears that I was able to dye my hair again! My head is full of grays and I was devastated I would never be able to cover it. I’d embrace the gray, but I’m only 25.. I did a patch test both behind my ear and inside my elbow, and waited 48 hours. After having no reaction, I decided I’d do my hair. It’s been 4 days and I had a tiny bit of itching right after washing it out, but other than that there was 0 irritation to my scalp (other hair dyes left my head covered in scabs, my face and head swelled up and I had a rash covering my head and neck). Safe to say I will be purchasing again!!! So incredibly happy with this purchase :)

I use it for my beard. I get allergic reactions to Just for men or any other beard dyes. This one i absolutely love. All I do is pour a little developer in a container and add the color, stir it and apply. That’s it! I can get about 10 uses out of one bottle. Best part, not a single allergic reaction and my beard is permanently dyed. Guys, I promise you, it will work if you have allergies to that other stuff.

My girlfriend has deep rich black hair. She dyed it with colors but wanted to go back to her natural hair color months later. She is allergic to black hair dye. This is the only one that hasn’t irritated her scalp. We highly recommend this to anyone who has a sensitivity issue due to do the harsh chemicals in common hair dyes like the ones the sell in the big box stores.

I have nearly 100% white hair, maybe 95%. So this review is for people like me.I used hazelnut brown.Considering the fact that this color is ammonia free I feel like the coverage was very good, but it was not as good as a standard 100% gray coverage box color.I will use it again but I will go up to chocolate Cherry because hazelnut brown looks really washed out on my very white roots. I would def advise going up a shade if your hair is really, really light, and leave it on longer.I really want to continue to use this brand because it is super easy on my scalp and my hair feels good after using it. It’s a great product.I have not washed my hair yet. So I am not sure about fading yet.I’m sure that if you have only some white hair rather than totally white hair that this would cover it, but def leave it on for 30 min.

Let me begin by I absolutely hate applying hair color and I tried to never do it. I have very thick hair I have a lot of it even though it's barely shoulder length it's just so The good thing about this it doesn't dye my skin and I am somebody who my skin absorbs the color even better than the hair root does. But with this very delicate line it doesn't ever I don't have to hurry up and wipe it off I've left it on a few times with the eyebrows there's no ring around the skin it's very impressive. My girl is the best and she has been using schwartzkopf color on my hair for about 15 years but when I can't get into see her I tried other brands but I find this to be absolutely fantastic. It's close to the multicolors she mixes to create my salon color ( she used 2+ colors) It's also the same brand so that helps. But I recommend it because I do have very difficult to take silvers and gray and I always did I was premature gray around 21,22 yrs old My mom my brothers as well, I didn't have any issues I see people writing about I also have a skin condition It doesn't irritate it I do leave it on for about 25 minutes I find it to match the color fantastic it doesn't wash out more than anything else that's such a weird thing that people get into but that comes down to your water more even so than your shampoo. Give it a try I definitely recommend this line. But most hair colors in a box are really just for in betweens from seeing a stylist you can't expect high high results you have to see your stylist and then this is something to get you in between and help save money. For roots touch-ups this is the thing.

I gave this hair color product two chances to work.The first time I only colored my grey roots. Coverage was good and covered the greys, but the 30 minute process time should probably have been longer. Color was lighter than expected and began to fade sooner than I would have liked. I’ve used other versions of Schwarzkopf Color Hair Color in the past and knew what to expect. My hair was undamaged. The included conditioner wasn’t very good and I’m not sure it did anything. Other conditioners made by Schwarzkopf are much better.Thinking I didn’t process long enough the first time, I gave this stuff a second chance. I left it on my hair for 45 minutes. Grey roots came out much better, but color tone was a bit darker than I would have liked, but was close to the color on the box.Jump ahead just two weeks and the color has faded dramatically. Color on the length of my hair is at least one shade lighter than before and my roots are only tinted light brown. Color level of 6.0 is now closer to 7.0.My biggest complaint is that Schwarzkopf Simply Color Hair Color 6.0 Cool Brown just doesn’t last. It faded so much, I’m recoloring only two weeks later.I’m giving the product a generous three stars only because it didn’t damage my hair and if I didn’t mind recoloring every two weeks, I could.The verdict? It’s ok if your primary goal is to avoid chemicals, like ammonia, otherwise use something else.

Great color saturation and product was easy to use. Some box dyes cause my scalp to become iritated and this specific brand does not cause me to break out at all.

Majority of store do not carry this product, but Amazon continues to do so. Do not like to show my age with gray hairs, and this hair dye does a great job at making my hair look natural.
