I'm very impressed with Sandpiper of California. I've had their Bugout Backpack for a few years now and really like it; however, it's a bit large for a day hike, so I decided to purchase the Three Day Pass for use as a day pack. The quality and workmanship is excellent. Frankly, I'm surprised that I was able to purchase it for the price that I did. It seems like it should cost more.The bag is very tough and very intelligently designed. I like the fact that it has a chest strap, waist strap and lots of variously sized compartments and pockets for storage. I also appreciate the compression straps which allow you to reduce the size of the pack when it's not fully loaded. I recently went on a winter day hike in a national forest near my location. I had a lot of gear because I didn't know what to expect, yet the bag was able to accommodate all of it with ease and in a way that made it simple to find things when I needed them. The company provides a more thorough overview of the specs and features than I can here. Suffice it to say, I'm very happy with this backpack.

I got this backpack for school and personal use. Compared to the last tactical style backpack I've had, this holds up very well and is a lot more sturdy. The pack seems to be fairly water resistant and feels good to carry, even with a full load. Since this is not made for school, there may be difficulties fitting in things such as books and folders but it holds my 15" laptop well (but not much else). Also the cord on the zippers has come undone a few times, but if you retie them stronger you won't have a problem. There are many internal pockets/pouches in the two outer compartments which helps to secure your gear, and the velcro has been holding a patch on strong so far. I would highly recommend for airsoft/camping or even school. If you want to be really rough with it, try an find a buddy in the military to pick one up for you through their end because these are not technically built to military grade, the commercial vs military sold ones are slightly different, but it will still be all around be sturdy and dependable.

Great backpack. Completely blacked-out logos. Very big with a lot of compartments, and is made of durable material and zippers. The zippers broke on the last backpack I owned, so I switched to SOC because I know its zippers will not break. I know this backpack will last at least four years of heavy everyday use.My only complaints are that one side of the waist-strap kept falling out of the plastic rings that attach it to the backpack, so I had to take it off altogether. Additionally, the main compartment is really big and the zipper goes almost all the way to the bottom of the bag. So when you're packing it, the front and back will fall all the way open and the bag will not stand up by itself. To fix this, I just keep the side clips done up so that the bag is easier to pack.

I needed this pack for my books, and it works perfectly. SOC packs have always been fantastic, price-wise, and the quality is outstanding. I have three other SOC packs, so I will admit that I have become a bit biased. The bottom line is that these packs work great for any number of uses, whether it be a get-home bag, school bag, or hiking bag. The bags are sturdy, and can hold a camelbak bladder. The molle straps are great for adding whatever you want to on the exterior of the pack (I am thinking of attaching a small first aid kit, although to be honest, there is plenty of space in the bag for the kit.....I just like utilizing the molle straps, lol).

I chose this bag for carrying stuff to work and it has all the space I needed without overdoing it. When I'm not working I like to go backpacking so I'm familiar with quality outdoor gear. The bag was well constructed of very durable denier nylon with sturdy double zippers (with pulls), d-rings, and quality quick release buckles. There are enough interior pockets to keep small items organized. The shoulder straps and waist belt work the way I'd expect my regular backpack to work. Side compression straps keep the load and empty space under control. I was impressed with the finishing which included "keepers" for the running ends of straps. This bag would be great for short trips or a go-bag holding clothing, personal items and even a small warm weather sleeping bag.

By far the best backpack I have ever purchased. I am using it as a "DIAPER BAG" since I recently became a father. For my needs and my use, this is the perfect bag, even she prefers to take this one over her girlie brand name diaper bag. Its sturdy, fits well, feels god on you. what to say about a backpack. the space is so...spacious? there's a smaller pocket in the front followed by a flat larger one. then a medium area pocket and then the main area pocket. the awesome part is that I just ordered a bladder bag, this backpack comes with a pocket to place a bladder bag (camelpak) for water...or mixed adult beverages. if you are thinking about a medium size bag - like the name states 3 DAY BAG... this one is perfect.

This is my second Sandpiper of California bag, due to acts of dog. They're tough, but no match for a dog that smells sunflower seeds and wants them but has no way open the pack besides claws and teeth. Man's best friend aside, the bag has plenty of space for the essential items that you need to carry daily. There's a small pocket on bottom of the bag for the little things like keys, change, etc. A large main compartment with a pouch to hold a hydration system, laptop, or whatever you need to put there. An organization section to hold your pens, small notebooks. This bag has plenty of room and the pack has good, thick straps to help distribute the weight evenly as you carry whatever. I pack a good bit of stuff in it daily, my coworkers call it my magic bag. I seem to have something they need in when they ask for it. Trust me, if you're looking for a great bag for carry anything, Sandpiper of California has what you need!
