Affordable, works without any thinking. My specific computer even let this work with my Steam Index. Keep in mind it won't go over DP 1.4, but it works for the current majority of displays. Saw no issues with maintaining a connection to my monitor.

Works as it’s supposed to do.

There aren't as many options as you'd expect for a mini display port --> female display port adaptor cable. So imagine my relief when this one was both well made and worked without any drama. I'll buy from this manufacturer unless/until they give me a reason not to. Also, it was inexpensive. Win win.

Not okay for apple laptops

Plug is a snug fit into the mini-Display Port on the Dell laptop computer & workstation (64 GB RAM, two Graphics Cards each with own dedicated RAM, 17 inch diagonal monitor, thick case with built in HDMI and mini-Display Ports, and heavy enough to also be used for weight training when traveling on the road). Make sure you are inserting the adaptor plug correctly and fully !!! Same goes for the full size Display Port cable from this adaptor to your monitor (you must provide your own Display Port cable). I use desktop cable clips, tie wraps, or electrical tape for all my cable connections - so I do not have display jitter due to the cables moving around or getting loose on my L-Shaped corner desk, with three different computers (Windows 11, Mac OS, and Unix) - which also share in various ways three different monitors. This adaptor provides an excellent and stable signal for fast changing / rotating graphics with the new Dell 32 inch diagonal curved monitor in highest resolution at 120 Hz refresh rate (an action gaming or 3-D drafting / molecule modeling setup). I bought an extra adaptor to take on the road with the Dell laptop computer & workstation, since Display Port is displacing HDMI on new monitors and projectors.

Used to hook up second monitor. Straight forward connection. Working as designed. Better than buying a hub.

Great product

I had been on-and-off trying to get my Valve Index to work on my Alienware 15 R3 for the past couple of weekends a bit while not even messing with it during the work weeks. I had tried a couple different USB-C adaptors for the rear and side port of the laptop; as well as plugging in the index cables, the base stations, and turning on the controllers in different orders.After doing my research I already knew an HDMI adaptor would no do the trick but this other port on the back... What was that for? Long story short I got an adaptor for this port and just now before getting ready for bed I tried the adaptor for it and suddenly SteamVR is picking up my headset! Victory!
