Mayerzon Dog Muzzle, Breathable Basket Muzzles for Small, Medium, Large and X-Large Dogs, Stop Biting, Barking and Chewing (XS - Border Terrier)

Bought this muzzle because the ones in the pet stores are fully closed on the ends and this one will allow her to still drink water. She will be wearing it a lot because we now also have a 1 year old female and the two have started fighting to be the Alpha girl. We like the construction and the features all at a good price. However even measuring the size we bought it is one size too large, but they have a great exchange policy. We did follow the recommendations for our Minature American Shepard, but it is a little tall by her eyes and generally loose around her muzzle. If we were to suggest anything it would be using a larger buckle so our fingers can unsnap it easier

I ordered a large for my golden retriever. Definitely too big. It does not help detour chewing. She still manages to get huge chunks of dirt through the bottom. I wouldn't trust this if you care purchasing to prevent a bite. My dog can easily remove it.

I give the muzzle 3 star because the muzzle itself is nicely made and soft. It fit my very large Anatolian shepherd male. However the straps even when tightened could not stand up to him. It was off his head in a matter of 10 seconds, no joke. I am sure the smaller muzzles work fine with the straps but a dog that big needs it attached to the collar I think. Had it stayed on I would have given this muzzle a full 5 stars.We are going to try to use it in combination with a dog collar in the future because I love the way it fits.

My dog is very territorial and has a tendancy to be aggressive towards other dogs. Just in case he somehow escapes and harms another dog, we decided to buy a muzzle. This muzzle works MUCH better than the previous one we bought. It is much easier to clean and does not end up making our dog smell like rotten fish or have a irritated snout like the other one (note: we use this muzzle full time). It allows ventilation so that nothing gets trapped underneath and forms bacteria. We did make some adjustments, but only because our dog likes eating scraps. This muzzle does have a opening for the mouth and nose, but it was too far down for our dog. Overall, it is a very high quality muzzle and I would recommend it! (just make sure to get the right size)

Was larger than sizing in my case

I bought this because the picture showed it didn't have a strap between the eyes, which I knew my dog would hate. When it arrived, it did have that strap. I tried it on my dog and it was just as bad as I had anticipated. So I cut that strap off. It still doesn't fit properly even though I measured accurately. The shape is very long and narrow top to bottom, so it squeezes the sides of my dog's snout and rubs on her lips and whiskers, but also has too much motion up and down and gets in the way because the cage is so tall. My dog doesn't have an exceptionally wide snout, it's roughly circular like a normal Lab, but this doesn't fit properly and is completely intolerable to wear as a result.

Fits my Doberman just fine. I eased her into it with treats like the video showed. No problem. She's not worn it for any extended time but it's here if I need it. She was scared as a puppy by other dogs and has since been leery of other dogs and growls. This is to prevent a bad situation from happening.

For most dogs it is perfect.
