Versatile
I bought this sling to put on my new Savage bolt action rifle. Wow! It looks and feels great. It will not slip or fall off my shoulder. I really like the split that allows me to “backpack” my rifle when dragging a deer. This sling is so flexible that I can use it in many ways. This was a great Made in America purchase with a reasonable price. Great job Bill O’Neill!

This may be the Best sling I've ever owned.
While it may take some getting accustomed to the very slight, and I do mean very slight, bounce/tug on my shoulder while hiking along with the rifle this could be the best sling I've ever owned! VERY comfortable and clings to your garment and WILL NOT slide off. The capability to pull the front strap to the opposite side and secure the rifle is a plus as well. Quality and craftsmanship through and through. 5 Stars and two thumbs up!!

Sling doesn't slip
Great sling, bothersome to adjust but sits on the shoulder well, something other slings don't do. As a hunter in the Cascade mountains I need a secure sling to avoid damage, slips, falls, and distractions while on rought terrain. The material and function remind me of Ranger bands

Great Product
I’ve used the competition’s sling for years. I have at least a dozen of these. However after having a issue with one of their slings beginning to tear, I sent it in along with return postage. At this point 1 found their “Lifetime Warranty “ is basically worthless. Called several times and basically pushed off too someone else. Never got any return calls. Finally decided I wasn’t wasting any more of my time. Fortunately these became available. They are almost identical and this one is slightly longer, which is good in my case.So far has customer service, the 1st. sling I ordered came USPS. I didn’t send it to an address that they deliver to. So, it was returned. Their owner contacted me immediately and shipped another sling to a USPS deliverable address. This surprised me. In today’s world, you usually spend a hour+ on the phone with a machine before getting any results.PS: I rarely ever write reviews.

for the safety conscious hunter
this sling is for hunters who do not want their rifle to slide off their shoulder when walking through the woods, or dragging game. I dont think i need to explain how dropping a loaded rifle can be dangerous. below i will give some points to consider.-this material "grips" to your clothing so it wont slip off your shoulder as easily as something like nylon which is very much needed as it will reduce the risk of dropping the rifle-it has some stretch to it so it will flex some when carrying, which will be nice to alleviate fatigue when on long, all day hunts carrying your rifle all day-you can also use it as a "hasty sling" to aid in stability when taking a shot, but be warned it is not quite as fast to get into as nylon or cotton, and is a bit less stable than cotton or nylon due to it having some flex. This must be taken in consideration in light of the above points(i believe it is a very fair compromise since the primary design of this sling is to stick to you so you dont drop your rifle.)-the only real negative i feel is the price. i dont know what the cost of manufacturing is, but from a consumer standpoint i think at almost 45 dollars its a bit steep.. 30 dollars seems more reasonable, though as long as it is durable and lasts for a long time the way nylon does, i consider the 45 dollars money well spent(will update my review in the future if it fails me)-its made in USA. if you are like me, you like supporting American workers and American owned businesses.-overall ill give it 5 stars, and would recommend to any hunter who values safety.

Lots to like about the sling, but the one gripe...
The "Ultimate Rifle Sling" excels at most of the functions a rifle sling serves. However, if you use your slings to stabilize your aim with tension against your supporting arm, you may find the elasticity annoying to deal with. So here's my list of pros and cons:Pros:- The rubber is grippy: That friction is awesome for keeping the sling on your shoulder or in place across your torso as you cross rough terrain and climb over obstacles. Seriously, that alone makes the sling worth it to keep your rifle from falling and breaking a scope, damaging the muzzle's crown, or tripping the sear.- The rubber is grippy part 2: the friction means that when you adjust it to the length you want, it keeps that adjustment and the tension buckles won't slip easily. That's great if you're like me and want set the size one way and more or less leave it. (Not great if you're fussy and want to adjust it constantly for different methods of carry & use.)- The rubber doesn't cut into your neck like a nylon web material will on a long hike.- The rubber doesn't absorb moisture, so it won't rot like leather or cause rust if you leave it wet on the gun. If it gets rained on, just wipe it down and done. Better than leather, canvas, AND webbing in that regard.- Comes with a "forever" warrantee. Supposedly, the rubber composite of this thing won't dryrot, weaken, become brittle, or crack from UV sun damage like normal rubber will. (I haven't had mine in the sun long enough to confirm or disprove this claim.) Plus, I haven't seen any damage from solvents (gun cleaner) or lubricants. So that's awesome. ...And if it does start to fall apart, hopefully the company will still be around to honor their warrantee.- The rubber is elastic: it allows the rifle to be fitted snugly to the body and will flex enough for movement and breathing. That's a good thing. But speaking of elasticity....Cons:- The rubber is elastic: slightly more elastic than I was expecting, kinda like a giant (if stiff) ruberband. This is only a problem if you're using the sling as a stabilizer on your arm while taking aim. With slings of material with less elasticity, (like webbing or leather) you can pull the sling taut and stabilize your shot. But, with this sling, it's a little like trying to maintain an exact pull weight against an excercise resistance band. (Like if you were to pull back on one of those resistance bands and try to hold it in precisely the same spot for any length of time.) If aiming for any extended period or repeatedly, you'll find the muscle(s) in your supporting arm beginning to fatigue sooner and your aim may drift, bobble, or shake while trying to hold consistent tension against the elasticity. It's not impossible to work with, but it's not ideal either.- The rubber creates static electricity, meaning it attracts lint, dust, and hair / fur with static cling. Not a huge problem (I consider that a worthwhile tradeoff for being impervious to water,) but it's something to keep in mind. So, I give it 4 stars. I just wish it was a little less elastic for stabilizing aim from a free standing position.

My 3rd one
This is my 3rd one of these. I’m starting to see a pile of my various old slings tha I’ll never use again. The Ultimate Gun Sling is without a doubt the best gun sling I’ve ever had. I always hated continually fighting to keep my sling on my shoulder while walking. That’s never a problem with this sling. It’s comfortable and it stays put.
