I decided to get back into guitar after a 5 year break, and wanted some good monitors for working with my DAW and using amp sims.I really wanted to go with larger Eris E8's XT's, but since this is my first set of studio monitors, I didn't want to chance spending that much money on something I never heard. I decided that 5's seemed like the best value for cost, and saw this awesome package with stands, and decided to get them.First impressions:They arrived in great shape, and everything was packaged well. The extra accessories (stands, cables) came in their own OEM packaging. The stands were easy to setup (and are very nice), and the speakers were just what I was expecting size and build wise.PROS:1. The sound. Wow, these bad boys sound incredible. I mostly play metal and listen to rock/metal, and these monitors do not disappoint. I was afraid there wouldn't be enough bass, but I was gladly mistaken. The soundstage is very full and immersive. The clarity is unbelievable.2. Controls. I love having the EQ adjustments on the back, along with the ability to hook up via all 3 main connection methods (RCA/TRS/XLR).3. Volume. These actually get pretty loud. I wouldn't recommend going to loud unless you cut out some of the bass and use a subwoofer, you might risk blowing out one of the woofers. They get plenty loud enough for mixing and casual listening.4. Easy integration with a sub.5. The stands found in this package are legit.Cons:1. The highs are a little much out of the box, so I dialed them back -2db on the back of each monitor. It really helped smooth out the sound.That's it for cons.I would say that if you can afford the E8 XT's, it might be the best option since you'll get even more bass response, but don't let the smaller size of the 5's fool you. They do indeed produce a very big and full sound, just I think the 8's would be better long term because you wouldn't be pushing them hard. I like these so much, that I'm definitely considering getting the 8's to compliment these. I'll run the kick drum and bass tracks through the 8's, and everything else through these 5's.Oh, last thing - I don't notice any hiss at all when using a TRS cable. I can only hear a very low and subtle noise if I put my ears right up to the tweeters, and it's not even really noticeable. When I step back more than a couple inches, it's completely gone.These are really great monitors, 5 stars all day.

I got back into beak making. I have m audio 3.5 speakers to get me started but I needed something better. I use both pairs. I'm not an audio engineer, i just like making beats and i love how the speaker sounds. Great price for a budget conscious person.

Extremely clear speakers, amazing stereo imaging, tight bass. very loud if you need them to be. Using presonus audiobox 96 audio interface

I’m just a typical user for this speaker system. I have an interface I set them up with and the chord that came with it gave my speakers a loud white noise that I just couldn’t stand to listen to. Once I switched out the chord, the white noise disappeared.Great speakers and stands! Terrible chord.

first ever monitors and couldn't be any happier with my choice, especially recommend these for anyone on a budget

Packaging and speaker stand absolute failure. The speakers are awesome!I bought the set of 2 that come with cables and stands. The box of the speaker stands was practically destroyed. Luckily it was all in a larger box or pieces would've been lost. Also the stand has significant scrstches and other dings. Clearly an already used product. Very upset with that aspect.The speakers themselves are phenomenal. I have them set up to my yamaha digital piano. Sounds amazing. I'm very happy with these speakers.

This monitors are truly awesome and accurate. For the price point I am in awe of their performance.

One of the things I appreciated about this bundle was the fact that in putting together my new studio I’ve needed to buy a lot of separate items. For a critical item like studio monitors this bundle was simply perfect — I’d already decided on the PreSonus monitors but the fact that they came bundled with the stands and cables was so convenient. The quality of the stands and cables were great. Stands are super sturdy, with pads on the bases so the monitors don’t slide and the cables were Hosa (a brand I’ve had no issues with in the past). Everything was easy to set up and most importantly is sounding GREAT!!!
